😂. I got a craftsman version of that saw. Wasn't sure until you showed the carb. I couldn't resist the $20 price tag( I should of) . I have a 26cc weedeater with a bigger carb on it. I ended up breaking the stupid plastic lever between the carb and strato so had to buy another carb assembly($16). I have found out that the carb is so small that the balance between the high and low jet is hard to get right. If you have your higj jet screwed out to far you can screw your low jet all the way in and it still won't idle. I have run it with a larger carb and the strato plugged, seemed to run well. Have to swap my levers around but plan to go to this next. Best thing anout this saw is if I blow it up it would make me happy.

Just curious. Did stay with throwing away the transfer caps? Ive not been able to get a Strato to run without them. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

@@PortedSaws I have been dealing with strato saws for the past 15 years , Stihl, Husqvarna and those infamous poulans , they Don't play nice , they wont hold a tune , the only advantage i see to the strato saw is they do use less fuel thats it , the fresh air injection is supposed to evacuate the burned charge out so the intake charge can be leaned out without burning the piston , the saws are supposed to run cooler as well , they are supposed to produce more power and less emissions, but they don't twist as fast or produce as much HP as a same size non-strato saw , no throttle response and weak beside the same model of a non strato saw , its just so they will pass emissions , of course it uses less fuel cause its in a lean state , i guessing the air charge keeps them cool enough to not burn down .

I do agree but these are good test saws in my opinion...very cheap to replace
