- The Dog Festival - Kukur Tihar. Many celebrate this festival as Diwali, Tihar, Festival of Lights. It is believed that dogs wait for us at the gates of heaven and once we die they guide our souls through. We celebrate this special bond of loyalty, compassion and devotion by honoring our dogs every year on this day.

One day I was browsing Zazzu Talks with my son and I came over a title: "GSP and the virus". I wanted to click on it and my son said "Why you chose such a sad title?" Then was when I realized....all Anji's VDOs are happy, it never, for a second has crossed my mind reading that title that it could be sad. When I click on her VDOs it's like coming home, no bad surprises, I cheer up and got comforted every single time. It is like meeting your loving kind sister at the end of the day.

I celebrated the same rituals yesterday.. this is his 2nd year deepavali for my Tiger he is 1 year 9 months Lab... Love you Zazu and Walle😘😘❤

I just watched the video from last year ceremony. I just loved watching this. You can completely tell that these dogs are loved and worshipped every day, besides seeing the vids. They sit there while being bowed too like you do it everyday. Such lucky humans to have amazing dogs. 🐕🐕🦺

I got so teary watching this. I am planning a trip to Nepal next year and I told my friend I want to come during the five day festival, but I want to participate in the Dog Festival. Did I saw Parle G biscuits in the puja thali. Its my childhood favourite biscuits in India. A small packet of Parle G use to cost Rs.2 in 90s but now it's Rs.10 in 20s.
