Casey's iconic voice is instantly recognizable. Used to listen to American Top 40 every week as a kid.

Those gen 2 camaros were hell on door bushings because the doors were so long and heavy. Changed many of them working at GM dealership body shop back in the 80s

Nice to see the full bumper version instead of the usual RS front end. The 70 to 73 Camaros had a uniqueness in the simplicity of the style which has rarely been matched.

I agree, the Vega in the same sense in terms of style, just a pure and simple styling job by Chevy! Always liked these cars.

Our neighbors had an early 1970's Camaro similar to the one in the video. Another neighbor had a '72 Firebird Esprit of the same era. Those cars were just so cool given that they were relatively low priced. The later model years were OK and contained some design improvements. But the earlier ones had such clean styling and interesting details. The back seat was perhaps usable for very small children but these cars were basically two seaters for most owners.

Having been a 9-year-old kid when my dad bought a used 1970 Camaro in 1974 I can tell you that the back seats were nothing more than a plank of plywood with some thin foam padding on top, and that the rear blade suspension on that car made for a very uncomfortable ride in the back! Moreover, my dad would get stuck everywhere in the snow in winter because the weight was all at the front of that rear-wheel drive car. The trunk was ridiculously small and the front disc brakes would seize up because of poor front caliper design. Otherwise, a nice "sports" car.

I'd still own in one in a second! Most folks didn't really plan on having it as a family car.

Filmed mostly in Manset/Southwest Harbor with the final scene on Southwest Boat docks next to the Coast Guard base, Northeast Harbor (driving along Sargents Drive), only one clip on Cadillac Mountain was Bar Harbor.

The most beautiful Camaro ever built. They tried to replicate the 69 now they need to replicate the 70 to the 73 Camaro they have got to have the molds and dies to make the car look exactly like it did back then. As an older person I would buy one for sure I had a 70 when I was in high school of 72 and a 73 later in life. That means I was foolish three times for letting these cars go.

We had a beautiful 72 Camaro. We restored the car and had it for years and then I was stupid and sold it in 2008 when the stock market crashed we needed the money.

A much better integrated design than the first generation Camaro, which was saddled with the Nova cowl.

I hope they're just on vacation, because in 1972 if they're planning on driving that Camaro year-round in Maine, they're going to have to stop at Sears for a good set of studded Roadhandlers, and some bags of cement in the trunk from Grossman's!

Just an official update for the folks from Maine about this commercial.....It's actually filmed on Sargent Drive in South West Harbor Maine. The vessel's name was the Annie Marie. The Lester Bracy is the Lobsterman and he's piloting his vessel. Film Fair Inc that produced the commercial paid Mr. Bracy 136 dollars per day....I don't know how long it took to film the commercial.....pretty neat! His Daughter contacted me with the details and a copy of the contract!!!!
