If your using a acrylic mat, do you not have to adjust your tone arm? Cos I'm thinking of doing the same thing.

If you use a thin mat, it's ok.
Test made with Hexmat and achromat 3mm without any problems

I have a P9 , I have had a Planar 8 and a Planar 10 , I kept the P9.
