The MANIPUR's athletes have participated in the Olympics since 1984, with notable achievements including a bronze medal in boxing by Mary Kom in 2016 and a silver olympic medal in weightlifting by Saikhom Mirabai Chanu in 2020. In the recently concluded Paris Olympic 2024, Nilakanta Singh was part of the bronze medal winning team in hockey and the list goes on..... Also, Women's football team from MANIPUR is currently the 22 times national defending champion which is a great feat in itself. If the government gives any focus to Manipur on sports and art there will be many more players and artist on international level but government is neglecting North East region specially Manipur but eventhough Manipuri people are struggling to fulfill their drems. Before getting medal no one helps them but after the medal Govt try to focus on us just to take the fame and thats disgusting. Yes we will the pain and bcoz of the behaviour or nature of them we felt like we are not Indian
