Fun Facts about Waiting for a Bus
- Gus started writing the song while waiting for a bus from Manly Vale to Sydney in 2015.
- Waiting for a Bus was a winner in the kids category of the 2020 International Songwriting Competition
- The line at the end of the song - "prepay only" - was often said by bus drivers when the buses in Sydney were switching over from buying tickets in cash to the opal card system. It took Sydneysiders a long time to get used to the idea that they could no longer pay for a bus ticket in cash.
- Every member of The Vegetable Plot sings this song every time they are waiting for a bus, whether they want to or not!
