Good question. The best way to support us at any point will always be through merchandise. However, these are trying times and the entire country is taking a hit. It's very nice of you to worry about supporting, but we want you guys to take care of yourselves more than anything. Please be safe.
Thank you so much for your answer! I tried buying merch, but I live in Germany - it's one of the countries that isn't delivered by the MIW shop at the moment. But good to know that buying merch definitley helps - i will stock up my collection as soon as it's possible again. Until then I hope loooots of spotify listens will support you somehow, too :-)

I have been a MIW fan for at least 10 years and I have always respected MIW but your time and words made me respect you even more! Looking forward to the next Q&A. Thank you again.

You guys are so talented and freaking awesome man I love you guys work the band is awesome you’re all very talented. I hope everything works out well for the band.
###Edit### I know some of these questions have been answered in the video (commented before live), thank you for that! My questions: What do you think is your greatest achievement as a musician or as a band? Where do you see MIW in 10 years? (i know it's quite a cliche, just asking about the future of the band) Any chance to come to Romania? Will there be any more acoustic songs or covers? (i'd love an EP like that) Do you intend to do vocals on future songs? (we all need that) I love every single MIW album and every single MIW song, thank you for engaging with the fans! Stay safe!
I hope my question is answered 😬 if not, I’ll try again! Despite relaxing, has the social distancing given the band more time to write music for the next record and not feel rushed while doing so? If I remember correctly, you guys work apart first, sending riffs, and eventually writing lyrics, then meeting up in the studio.
I didn't see this question come up, but it's a good one. We're not 100% all in on the writing process currently, but I know that all of us individually are working on music... Whether any of that becomes new Motionless is too soon to tell right now. That being said, it's SO nice to write freely without the pressure of "trying to write a record".
Thank you! I appreciate you saying that. The thing is- I'm just not a shredder, I don't care about playing solos and I think they're just jerk off shit. 9 times out of 10 they don't add anything to a song other than for people to say "this guy's a really good guitar player"...again, jerk off shit. Just my opinion, others may vary.
Ricky Olson Honestly, I hadn’t thought about this other point of view. In any case, thanks for replying, it makes me very happy and I want to tell you that you are such a great inspiration to me!!!
my question : What was one of the most stressfull moments in your whole music career? is there anything you would be doing different if you weren't in motionless ? favorite concert moment you have ? favorite equipment you work with during recording sessions ? Hope you are doing well and are safe ! much love
Most stressful moment? Being in the studio during the writing of Infamous and trying to figure out where the fuck we were going musically. Both Chris and I were on two completely different pages and it got pretty heated. If I wasn't in the band I'd be doing something film-related. Favorite concert moment? Playing Seattle at El Corazon 9which is a venue I used to go to growing up), and having one of the wildest shows of our career. Proud dad moment, for sure. Favorite equipment? I guess I'd have to say my guitar, just because there would be no music without it. Cheap answer, I know, I can't think of anything off the top of my head. I'm sorry. Likewise, stay safe. Thanks for the questions!
DO THE PODCAST!!!! Please!!! I'm sure other people, including myself, won't care if it's just you talking. Maybe read out something or maybe a murder podcast?
dragging back the podcast topic haha and I'm sure you've seen this question a lot but, would you do a podcast with Chris? I think it'd be interesting to hear you guys talk about band stories/experiences or really anything! thanks for the q&a Ricky! Hope you and everyone stay safe :)
I'm not opposed to it at all. We just never got around to it when I was doing it. I think that would be cool, but I don't know when the next time I'll be doing something like that again will be. We'll see. Thank you!
i stopped catching up on the band since 2017 and now that i checked them out again, i’ve always wondered why Ricky doesn’t go by his stage name anymore. i’m glad this finally answers it
I love you Ricky and you inspired me to play guitar and you are one my favorite guitar player ever I love the hole band but you are my favorite member🖤
i dont expect ricky or anyone else to see this or respond to this but i saw you guys back on oct 19th at the rave. before this, i was in a mental hospital impatient program for a suicide attempt. the second song i listened to in the hospital was soft, because we were told to pick a song that made us feel a certain emotion. you guys have been helping me a lot through my shitty mental health and instead of attempting again im willingly going back to the hospital within the next few weeks or so. all of you guys have really helped me through a bunch of shit, and i could give every song youve ever released a reason as to why. like untouchable, it helped me through my rape experience, and eternally yours helped me through the worst break up ive ever gone through, since the relationship was incredibly abusive. enough venting about myself, i hope the band is taking care of themselves. i really wanted to get vip to see you in may , but corona came along. i wouldve gotten it in october but it had sold out by the time i got to it. anyways, i cant wait until this bullshit is over and i can finally meet you guys. again, thank you for everything youve done for me and thousands upon thousands of other people. eternally yours, casey
Q: Why is their a title song for every album named from the album except Graveyard Shift? ex: Reincarnate has the song Reincarnate, Infamous has the song Infamous, why no Graveyard Shift song?
Question: What has been one of the most memorable encounters you've had with a fan? Saw you guys perform in Los Angeles at the Novo for Graveyard Shift, you guys really love to connect with fans (: thank you for what you do!
I cannot wait for the upcoming tour. I know everything got delayed but everyone staying safe and staying home is the fastest way for us to get back to what we love.
Hey Ricky, I was at the epicenter festival in rockingham NC. That was my first time at a concert or a festival and I want to tell you and the rest of the band thank you for the opportunity seeing you guys, it was a great experience
I'd booked for London to celebrate being cancer free after surgery. Hope we see you ASAP. More important to stay safe n healthy. We really need to support gigs and help artists create an income. There's nothing to compare to being present at a show as music is our therapy/escape x
Please come Turkey when corona finish :) Im from Turkey and i listen everyday MIW since 5 years I LOVE YOU SO MUCH I will im not gonna die without listen and see MIW LIVE a day :')
Really enjoyed watching you talk for over an hour and a half. Would you like to do something like this again? Thank you for taking time out of your night (I suppose it was during the night time lol) to make this 🖤
hey Ricky! I don't really have a question although I did post one on facebook but that's not why I'm commenting on here, I mainly just wanted to say that you and the band have helped me through so much, without you guys I probably wouldn't be here today, my life isn't the best and I've had a lot of pain in my life over the years music has helped and changed my life, I love looking up to you guys, you guys help me so much, the band has inspired me to pursue my passion for music and I personally want to thank you for that, thank you for helping me live and inspire me to make my passion a reality. You have helped me so much and for that I am forever grateful, keep on rocking guys! you have changed my life.
This interviews is a cool way to stay in contact with the fans and during this complicated times I think is something very positive for the fans and for the members of the band off course
I have a question, do you guys have any advice on dealing with mental health issues during the quarantine period ? Im really not doing so great as somebody who already badly suffers with depression, self harm etc; your music is helping though :) xx
Hey there! I also struggle with my mental health. I find that staying away from news reports etc helps as well as doing something everyday to keep yourself busy. Making your bed, cleaning your room, doing exercise, reading a book, listening to music, watching anime, doing assignments if you are a student... The list goes on. Distraction and being productive helps a lot. I hope my suggestion helps you. ❤
I am here for you too buddy. Having been to the darkest place makes every place brighter. Reach out too all who offer help... it can be better... for all of us.
I'm struggling extremely bad with mine. Self harm thoughts are on a high. I put on deathcore and started throwing furniture off of my second balcony. (Using later for a bonfire) .... music helps...my kids help me for sure.
Ricky was too kind to that person. I think it's disrespectful to just say "yeah I didn't like it at all" (or something like that). It takes so many time, work, effort, money, etc to make an album! Also, it was unnecessary, they could have just said the first part of the question
Ricky i know you won’t see this but dark speaks to me. I’ve been watching and I’m almost done with first season. Ricky I feel like I know you better and we could be real friends. You were always my favorite person. Something about you reminded me about me and dark is it. I feel like I’m understanding you now
Thanks for answering my question about writer's block and thank you so much for doing this. Super bummed I'll be missing you guys for my birthday this year. I met you guys last year on my birthday for the first time and was planning to make it a tradition for myself which I will return to once this is all over. I'm happy you guys are well and staying safe. I know we are all anxious for your return to stage. 🤘
Not a question but I just appreciate your modesty and honesty, I think you're really down to earth and a person I could just talk about everything for hours lol Also your voice is so calming, you should be a lector
Angelo was definitely the hardest to see go. Usually the people we find are friends or are friends of friends. It's a pretty tight circle in the music world.
Hi Ricky, has the band considered doing a performance-like live stream while shows are canceled/postponed? And did you film tour vlogs for the diseased and disguised tour?
Yes to podcast please! Its just so calming to listen to your voice just talking about stuff... just like this.. little QnA or just topics what you want to share with us. please do. Same with your music.. you dont have to do whole album.. just few songs that you sing maybe.
Thanks for coming to the Netherlands. Posted ur intro song on my channel so awesome. Also got a handshake from Chris. One of my dreams seeing you guys! \m/
concerts are like one of the few outlets i have.. Dealing with depression and bipolar. You guys were the last concert i went too, and i had so much fun.. I really hope they find a solution to this problem.. :((
I’m late, but if I wanted to get lyrics in Chris’s handwriting so that I could get a tattoo done of them, how could I make that happen? I’ve met you guys once, but the security guy told me that they would kick me out if I asked for Chris to write them for me when I met you guys. This is something I’ve been wanting for a few years now and I just feel like it would be very special to get it in Chris’s handwriting. Thank you for all that you do, I have so much love for you guys and your music. I feel so honored to have been able to see you guys live twice and meet you once. Those are some of my favorite moments. Take care 🖤
We want you to sing more on record , Mr. Richard Olson.!
Thank you! I hope that will happen. No guarantees, though.

YES, WE WANT TO LISTEN TO YOU RAMBLE FOR AN HOUR!!!!!!
Thanks Ricky for answering my question on playing in Ireland! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
You guys are so talented and freaking awesome man I love you guys work the band is awesome you’re all very talented. I hope everything works out well for the band.
Brasil Love - Motionless In White ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
###Edit###
I know some of these questions have been answered in the video (commented before live), thank you for that!
My questions:
What do you think is your greatest achievement as a musician or as a band?
Where do you see MIW in 10 years? (i know it's quite a cliche, just asking about the future of the band)
Any chance to come to Romania?
Will there be any more acoustic songs or covers? (i'd love an EP like that)
Do you intend to do vocals on future songs? (we all need that)
I love every single MIW album and every single MIW song, thank you for engaging with the fans! Stay safe!
Doamne ajuta sa vina la noi:)
Thank you for your hard work motionless 😊😊😊
Te amo Ricky💕🦇
Hi Ricky, I hope you are safe. My question is why don’t you make more guitar solo or something like that? You are such a talented guitarist!!
WHAT. A. BEAUTIFUL. SOUL. THAT. MAN. IS.
I definetly would like to listen to Ricky talking for hours, it's just so relaxing and kind of motivating
my question :
What was one of the most stressfull moments in your whole music career?
is there anything you would be doing different if you weren't in motionless ?
favorite concert moment you have ?
favorite equipment you work with during recording sessions ?
Thank you for the answers! And thank you for being this open to the fans!
My dad lives in Seattle?
DO THE PODCAST!!!! Please!!! I'm sure other people, including myself, won't care if it's just you talking. Maybe read out something or maybe a murder podcast?
His voice is so relaxing. But still sexy at the same time.
If shows don't pick back up until fall 2021 I will personally freak the fuck out. I cannot go that long without seeing any concert let alone you guys.
I would love to see u play here in NC...MIW please stay safe...muck love
dragging back the podcast topic haha and I'm sure you've seen this question a lot but,
would you do a podcast with Chris?
Im pretty sure everyone loved the podcast and i really hope u continue it!
Love from Poland!!!
i dont expect ricky or anyone else to see this or respond to this but i saw you guys back on oct 19th at the rave. before this, i was in a mental hospital impatient program for a suicide attempt. the second song i listened to in the hospital was soft, because we were told to pick a song that made us feel a certain emotion. you guys have been helping me a lot through my shitty mental health and instead of attempting again im willingly going back to the hospital within the next few weeks or so. all of you guys have really helped me through a bunch of shit, and i could give every song youve ever released a reason as to why. like untouchable, it helped me through my rape experience, and eternally yours helped me through the worst break up ive ever gone through, since the relationship was incredibly abusive. enough venting about myself, i hope the band is taking care of themselves. i really wanted to get vip to see you in may , but corona came along. i wouldve gotten it in october but it had sold out by the time i got to it. anyways, i cant wait until this bullshit is over and i can finally meet you guys. again, thank you for everything youve done for me and thousands upon thousands of other people.
eternally yours,
casey
Q: Why is their a title song for every album named from the album except Graveyard Shift? ex: Reincarnate has the song Reincarnate, Infamous has the song Infamous, why no Graveyard Shift song?
Hmmm, you have a point lol
Chris has said “570” was going to be called Graveyard Shift but he decided 570 due to it being more of an homage to his hometown/area code
You didnt have to give examples I'm pretty sure he knows what a title track is Lol
Chris said that 570 was originally gonna be called graveyard shift
Albums are albums
Disguise is a brilliant album. Another Life and Catharsis are also my favorite 2 songs.
I just watched this on April and look at now
"Bothering everyone." 😂😒🤣 the cut killed me I thought you were gonna elaborate.
I love you RICKY!!!!
Question: What has been one of the most memorable encounters you've had with a fan?
Saw you guys perform in Los Angeles at the Novo for Graveyard Shift, you guys really love to connect with fans (: thank you for what you do!
The prince of the night Ricky !
You are a champion😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏.
Julie.
Bro, watching this again because I miss the podcast☹️
I cannot wait for the upcoming tour. I know everything got delayed but everyone staying safe and staying home is the fastest way for us to get back to what we love.
thank you for answering our questions. it means a lot to have some kind of connection with you. i love you.
Would you ever consider doing an acoustic cover of Catharsis like what you did for Eternally Yours? I feel like your voice will fit in really well
YAS
Hello and greetings from Italy. To have seen you in Milan has been amazing!!!
Thanks for answering my question about living in PA. I think you're very wise.
I love this. Theres just something about listening to a band member interview. Keep it up!
Hey Ricky, I was at the epicenter festival in rockingham NC. That was my first time at a concert or a festival and I want to tell you and the rest of the band thank you for the opportunity seeing you guys, it was a great experience
Cool, that's awesome to hear. Glad you had a good time!
Simply angelic Ricky😍😍😍❤❤❤
Yes Ricky ramble for a hour.... your voice helps sooth a lot of people. But if you don’t want to, no one is gonna push you hun
Yeah... Just a Ricky olson podcast with Ricky olson..
That would be great, I used to fall asleep to his podcast when I was having a panic attack.
I'd booked for London to celebrate being cancer free after surgery. Hope we see you ASAP. More important to stay safe n healthy. We really need to support gigs and help artists create an income. There's nothing to compare to being present at a show as music is our therapy/escape x
Please come Turkey when corona finish :) Im from Turkey and i listen everyday MIW since 5 years I LOVE YOU SO MUCH
I will im not gonna die without listen and see MIW LIVE a day :')
Don't know about what anyone else thinks, but since the Dragula cover I've always thought a Rob Zombie collab would be fuckin awesome.
I agree.
Yaaaaaa¡¡ rompan el silenciooo¡¡ larga vida!!
Really enjoyed watching you talk for over an hour and a half. Would you like to do something like this again? Thank you for taking time out of your night (I suppose it was during the night time lol) to make this 🖤
Thanks! It was cool. I'm sure this wont be the last time!
Hey ricky I just wanted to say thanks very much on doing this and hope you and the guys are safe and well take care.
Great hanging in there Ricky for the whole video and answering all those questions. You looked exhausted. It was a great video and funny too.
It was a long day haha. Glad you enjoyed, thanks!
@@RickyOlson I did very much as always. 😊
i enjoyed this immensely, love to hear ur thoughts ricky ur awesome
Hi Ricky, just wanted to let you know you guys are AWESOME 🖤
Thanks, Kimmy!
hello ricky greetings from Argentina!!
hey I struggle with the same thing, if you need a friend or someone to talk to and maybe get help from I'm always down to listen and help
@Skillcrusher 09 It sucks tho right.
i love all of miw's music and albums. kind of disappointed someone was like "i didnt like the last two" it hurt my feelings LMAO
I feel like I’m understanding you now
I love you Ricky thank you for everything 🖤 keep up the good work 🖤
Thank you so much for doing this, and my Stitches kitty says thanks for reminding everyone to love their pets ♥️
Paraguay presente! 🖤
Acá desde Argentina Br0
Thank you, Ricky!!
I’d like to see you guys collab with asking Alexandria, the story so far or waterparks! Those would be awesome
Being in a band, members come and go, who was the hardest member to watch leave the band and how do you guys find band members after having one leave?
Angelo was definitely the hardest to see go. Usually the people we find are friends or are friends of friends. It's a pretty tight circle in the music world.
Hi Ricky, has the band considered doing a performance-like live stream while shows are canceled/postponed? And did you film tour vlogs for the diseased and disguised tour?
Yes to podcast please! Its just so calming to listen to your voice just talking about stuff... just like this.. little QnA or just topics what you want to share with us. please do. Same with your music.. you dont have to do whole album.. just few songs that you sing maybe.
MIW🖤
Thanks for coming to the Netherlands. Posted ur intro song on my channel so awesome. Also got a handshake from Chris. One of my dreams seeing you guys! \m/
You rock MIW
Callab with Marilyn Manson 😭😭😭😈😈
concerts are like one of the few outlets i have..
Take care 🖤
i would love for him to start the podcast back up PLEASE
I’d love to see a collab between MIW and Poppy.

💓 thank you for this! That is a great answer.
