Although this may be a dumb question, why did you use a "10" for the last octet in both of the IP addresses for PC-1 and PC-2? Could we not use 3 or is 10 the default number for that octet in this situation? Thanks.
Hi, you can use any number and it is depends on the Network Administrator. I like to avoid fancy number to PCs, and these fancy numbers can be used with Intermediary devices. Thank you!
This video has been of great help! just one question. At the moment of assigning an ip address to my router's interface i get the error "Invalid input detected at '^' marker" as if the ip keyword isn't valid. Do you know what might be the problem? I'm using the same router model.
@@TechAcad My command goes like this: ip address 145.24.0.1 255.255.255.224 I think i don't have the ip address keyword because when i use question mark (?) command to list the keywords and arguments i don't see it, but idk why. One more thing, this only happens when trying to configure a fastethernet interface. With gigabit interface i have no problem.
i got 79% and the problem is my PC1 and PC2, the ip address and subnet mask are incorrect and both of them can't link in switches even though I followed the instructions in the video

Oh nevermind, the problem is i was using a switching port and not an interface. I'm sorry i'm just getting into networks.
