My Dad loved this song. When me and my sibling where born he was so proud... Him and I listened to it together a lot. And he’d brag about how happy he was... He passed away recently and this was playing at his funeral... I stood over his open casket kissing on the cheek as this song played in the background.... I miss my Dad. No one understands how much he hurt himself just for the sake of our happiness... My dad was my world... My everything.

When I was born my dad always said if anything ever happened to him he wanted this played at his funeral for me. He passed away in 2003 when I was 2. My mom always played this song and told me that story but I never understood until I got older. This song means more to me that anyone will ever know 🖤

He was born prematurely the day after the terrorists attacks in Central NY at 2lbs 1oz. At 6 years old he was killed in a car accident. Now he would be turning 21 years old this year. Everytime she was upset, or going through a emotional breakdown, I would always give her a hug, and start singing the song in my own way because I didn't remember the lyrics when I was younger.
It would always put a smile on her face.
But on October 10th, 2012. She passed away from liver failure. My dad asked me what song we should play at her funeral. And I chose this song.
It was very hard continuing through life without her by my side, being there when I really needed her. But she always has been. She's always with me in my heart.
Now whenever I get depressed, or have a emotional breakdown, I play this song, and just cry. She always told me "its ok to cry." And it is.

I played this song at my late husbands funeral. I was 26 and he was 27. he was murdered during a home invasion as he protected me he was stabbed. I can't wait to be in his arms again. I never married again or dated still single forever. I hugged his coffin not wanting to let go. He was the most bravest man. we started out with nothing but some hundred dollars but made a life together. He always said no matter where we are being with me was home and that he was the richest man being next to me every day and every night.

This song makes me tear up whenever I listen to it. It reminds me of my parents and their relationship, especially from the point of view from my dad. He had been a rough man in my early childhood, and I had heard that him and my mom split back in ‘93, but thankfully they got back together shortly after. I was born in ‘97. I can’t help but feel what my dad must’ve been going through as a person with his own experiences of life and having to “be the man I have to be..” , especially the line “I hope he’s not like me..” 😢😅❤

When my daughter was born after we left the hospital with her this was the first song I heard on the radio, I've always loved Creed my mom and dad told me that they could never get me to sleep unless they played this album, I was 3 year alcoholic and this song made me change my ways and the way I live for my daughter♥️

This song reminds me of my grandma. My dad is the oldest. I am the youngest grandchild. 6 years my parents tried. I was was a very difficult birth. 24hours. They didn’t do c births routinely in 1970. As they wete going to. I came into the world. My grandma waited at the hospital the entire time. Welcomed me into the world. I learned alot from my grandparents. I miss you. 😢Thank you for everything. ❤

I became a mom when I was 17. I remember seeing the second line pop up in the bathroom at my mom’s house and immediately calling my boyfriend at the time and we cried together. 4 years and 3 years of marriage later I found out we’re having our second baby in addition to our beautiful daughter. I just found out about this song and it just means so much to me. It reminds me of the feeling of being overwhelmed but ready to fix up my life for our daughter.
