      If he dropped this I’m sure those songs are coming. Especially if the album really is 40 songs like he said on X

    The speculation is that scrims album will come this month or early next month and then $B next month or March and then greyday 24’ when they get back from Australia

    Yeah, the first solo album was, well, uhhhh.
    The production is really nice but I thought the bass was so aggressive it’s borderline brash. The verses are okay, got better towards the end.

      @@senddudes5847 Right. I have to agree. I still like the song a lot, but I think the boys (Ruby and Scrim) take being independent a little too far and don't ever reach out to anyone (mainstream) for help, tips, etc. and I think they have a good reason for that but also it kind of stunts their growth. They have their own brand. Their shit is self produced (aside from the guy who produces their music with "It's a smash" as his producer tag. Idfk his name but he's a nice looking dude.) They have their own merch team. Everything. Is. Independent. And while it's cool to say out loud, it also keeps them in this weird limbo between underground and mainstream... But maybe they don't give a fuck honestly. The people that care and the people that want to listen - DO listen, so I don't think the Boy$ could really ask for more and quite frankly they never do, atleast not publicly. I think their goal is just to make fire music and to appeal to whoever will listen. With over 2B streams on Spotify in 2023, I think it's safe to say that they're doing alright, even if they're not as mainstream as I wish they were.

      @@daisybarrett7843I disagree. Their image became watered down once they started reaching out. Everything used to be in-house, now they have Adam designing their merch, other mixers on tracks and a whole management team helping them. It’s just their music alone feels like it’s lacking because we’re used to them being a duo. They definitely complement each other.

    I just don’t understand why some people are so obsessed with SB. I don’t even hate them but damn some of yall need to listen to more music. And at least realize that they basically took their whole identity from Three 6 Mafia

    • @komokeo
      @komokeo 4 місяці тому +10

      You realize that most $B fans know they're heavily influenced by Three 6 right? They don't even hide that. They've mentioned them in songs and sampled them over and over and over

    • @Overdone-
      @Overdone- 4 місяці тому +7

      I mean majority of us know that. that’s the whole reason I got into them in the first place. Being from Louisiana myself I obviously grew up listening to southern rap including Three 6, and that’s what made me really fw $B

    • @mvckyo

      They took influence from Triple Six and made it into their own thing... Like learning from a teacher and producing their own art. A lot of their old stuff is very 666 Mafia heavy, but the longer they've delved into their careers, the more unique their sound has gotten. You hear this in songs like Big Shot Cream Soda, or the most recent EP with Shakewell, and even the album Sing Me a Lullaby My Sweet Temptation is very much $$boys and less of anything else. I know a lot of people can relate to the statement "their music just scratches a certain part of my brain," and a lot of that has to do with $crim's production and the way Ruby's voice sounds + his flow (which, yes, is very 90s influenced, I know). Gotta give credit where credit is due, and I think people who enjoy the 90s music era at all can appreciate $$boys a lot.
