We all know it, academically, but it really gets exposed on videotape. The huge number of cars that someone tore apart intending to do great things with --- that never got put back together again --- is astounding. They're everywhere!
AWSOME videos I have a question i just bought a 69 firebird for $200 and its a ruff body needing both rear quarters. So my question is how hard would it be to convert it into a 68 camaro?
Thats what i was thinking my dads a good body man my parts list is about $2900 is that pretty good for a 68 camaro I already have a 388 stroker and a th350 trans
I remember the 69 convertible RS and ss packaged car I could have bought off of a kid that was graduating from college. He wanted something more professional to go in for a job interviews. In 1988 $5,000 for the bought that car what a missed investment on top of that
I can nearly see the trim tag but it looks like 729 for interior which would have been the ivory houndstooth. 713 is black houndstooth. I have a 69 RS/SS 4speed 350 with 713 black houndstooth. X11 car
The Super Sport hoods had 2 ice cube tray looking vents on the top.. they weighed more than a regular or cowl hood so the SS cars also go different hood springs
@@backyardbarnfinds You could order the Cowl hood on an SS. The hood you refer to was part of the RS package. I remember seeing SS cars with either hood but RS cars had the chromed insert. Z28 RS cars had the Cowl hood period as did L78 SS/RS.
Have my 69 Camaro sitting in my shed ,starting restoring in 1978 , got married , kids etc, been sitting since since 81, always under roof was my high school car , yes I am an old timer now , hope to finish restoration when I retire next 3-4 years , appreciate your videos , just stating watching them 1-2 months ago

Never had that kind of luck,go to a garage sale and find a 69 Camaro. Cool deal Bud 👍
Lucky you. Keep us posted on your progress.
It's a factory code 59 Frost Green and it should have a 12 bolt HD rear end with multi leaf springs .
Enjoyed the video, also enjoyed talking with you. I hope we can see the car when it’s restored.
Excellent video and got yourself a great car!
Nice yard sale find congratulations
Great find. Hope you find the right parts
Nice find. I never find anything good at yard sales. The 12 bolt would have been a nice find on its own. 😊

great Camaro knowledge. but little rust on the bottom of the door, and instantly needs doors and floors, buyer talk?

What did you have to give for it

713 on the cowl, so just black houndstooth.. What color is your car? Very similar to this one!
If the cowl induction hood did not come with the car then what kind of hood was supposed to be on that car?
The Super Sport hoods had 2 ice cube tray looking vents on the top.. they weighed more than a regular or cowl hood so the SS cars also go different hood springs
@@backyardbarnfinds Cool. That's an interesting fact about the weight of the hood. I did not know they had a different set of springs for that hood.
@@backyardbarnfinds You could order the Cowl hood on an SS. The hood you refer to was part of the RS package. I remember seeing SS cars with either hood but RS cars had the chromed insert. Z28 RS cars had the Cowl hood period as did L78 SS/RS.
Was waiting for the end, if you are interested in buying this car info is below. Are you going to resell it?
Yes. 1
That's a 280z, not a 240. you can tell by the vents on the hood. also those fender flares are not original.
I want to know what that car cost you
Why do you ever buy tear them apart
