With double Koyan of Light, she can basically force an NPBB and generate back 100% NP gauge and more. With Append 5, you can force another NPBB the next turn as well. She's really nuts because she's a more consistent (and better) Super Orion and can use Black Grail while not being penalized too much. Her star problem is easily solved with some 2030 CEs, not to mention the hit-counts on all the attacks in that chain. Her less-than-100% HP problem can be solved by CS and/or a heal MC. Double Koyan S2: 20% per regular Buster card S2: 10% per Buster attack S1: 10% per turn NP: 20% NP refund NPBB: (20% + 10%) + (20% + 10%) + (20% + 10%) + 10% = 100% NP gauge.
yea, it kinda pisses me off the more I think about it. cuz earlier, 5 stars could have been better. I mean, it's fine, I guess. The 5 stars of 2 yrs ago and further are still great. Some are just broken. but it does bother me knowing our 5* could've been less flawed

David hitting all of his special damage modifier at NP5 does 81k while Ciel at NP2 hitting her special damage modifier does 88k. Since they both do 1.5 damage against Sabers, Ciel still beats David.

@@adrastos8401 Ok i made a mistake with class advantage but I ran the damage numbers through the damage calculator. At NP5 with 2 Koyan and David's charisma, he only does 162k against Sabers and Ciel at NP5 with 2 Koyan, her skill 2 and the NP damage up she gets before damage she does 195k.
It's doable using double douman Gogh, bb summer double douman and other combinations using Always Gogh/douman/Himiko But for 90++? You are absolutely right!
It is now possible and very consistent team is Koyan Light, Ciel, Summer BB, Aoko (4th position). You activate Ciel's third skill, then plugsuit her and Aoko, now Aoko has all face cards, then you lock the cards for 3 turns with Summer BB. Then use Koyan crit buffs on Aoko, activate Aoko NP and go AoE farming with her buster crits.
They can give an upgrade to servants who can manipulate face cards. And this is a wild take; give Geronimo upgrades to his skills that can shuffle certain color cards based on his skills. Example: his buster skill can shuffle all buster cards on top of the deck, and his other skills can do the same but with quick and arts. But that is a hopeless dream, I know.

She is an amazing unit tbh. I have never thought of the day when BB Summer is gonna be an actual viable meta unit BUT here we are, with the addition of Summer Ciel. I do not believe one bit you can replace Van Gogh with her though and if you have Van Gogh... Yeah just do not do it. Van Gogh is just better period BUT BB Summer + Summer Ciel is an excellent duo that can get you past a hella lot of CQs and maybe if you have the stomach for actually do farming MANUALLY then Ciel might be viable for farming too.

But with bb? We just have that and for what trade off? One koy, castoria, skadi on your standard comp? This is actually exciting

I found out you can use the old summer BB to lock ciel's cards, Also after you use her 3rd skill and swap to a backline the servant that swapped in get's all the cards and then you can again use summer BB to lock those cards in. Don't know if that is intended or not but that's pretty fun and neat lol. Edit: will add it's not optimal just a fun thing to do or experiment with.
No, that’s a typical thing. The S3 doesn’t change the cards but fully restocks them. And if you swap out a servant with another, the cards that the servant being swapped out with also swaps to the corresponding cards, so you basically give a servant a full deck when you swap them with ciel
Her only downsides are limited damage buffs and inconsistent access to her powerful crits. But her 3rd skill removing card RNG for a turn means she plays really well with supports,. especially Merlin who can boost her passive generation even further, gives stargen, and can give her an invincible against anything that can pierce her defense. Very cracked, i like it
That 3rd skill is crazy and all, but can you imagine if instead of just herself, she could target any ally (including herself) to make 1-turn full deck? She'd instantly have more support synergy for other DPSs.
I honestly prefer that she's full selfish as she's not meant to support others, she's meant to kill bosses, survive, and may the enemy question their life with pure damage.
people are constantly saying she is broken, but I am concerned about the lack of skill based steroids (only 30%) and lack of attack up on a buster servant. I highly suspect her damage with double Koyan is going to be extremely low for an SSR. So while her defense and anti-gimmicks are nice and her self buffed damage is fine. Her scaling with the best buster supports is suspect (though Merlin does help this alot)
@@kristianschuff1723 every buster servant can do good buster crits. 100% crit up, especially with no attack up, isn't enough to make up for the lack of NP damage. even with 1 turn of guaranteed cards.

Imagine a 1/1/1 node and you go Koyan, Oberon, Ciel, Summer BB; use all koyan's and ciel's buffs then plug in Summer BB, use Ciel's 3rd skill to make em all her cards, lock them with Summer BB and then you have 3 turns of 100% crit dmg up rainbow brave chains! on top of potentially refunding her NP every time ya use it by just following it with two arts cards on any enemy that'd survive her NP!
Would inhaling COPIUM for her 3rd skill to be implemented for a 3rd skill upgrade for OG Skadi, just to help quick (can retune the numbers but the face cards would help a ton for quick servants)

actually no, her 3rd skill makes a new deck rotation the next turn, so the 15 is randomly shuffled and dealt again
