Ken Rawdon, 28-year director of Mt. Eden High School Choirs in Hayward, CA received the 2017 John Pappas Award from the City of Hayward. This is the video that was shown at the reception in his honor.

So happy to be a part of show choir when i was in Mt. Eden in Hayward. Truly passionate about his work and i enjoyed every rehearsal, whether its early morning or after school hours. he believed in my talent and i wont forget how he helped me be a part of the tour in Disneyland. I wasnt even a show choir (i was a concert choir) but when he saw me dancing with them while waiting on my friends to get done practicing he just made me a part of it. i wont forget the solo performance he allowed me to sing, Memory and Grease musical "beauty school dropout" as the teen angel. Go Mr. Rawdon!!! you rock!!!!
