The super clear ice with the crazy skater is a super popular destination in Russia. I cant remember exactly why, but something about the mineral concentrations in the water and surrounding rocks and stuff lead it to freeze in this way that is super clear and because its incredibly deep you can actually see the unfrozen water and stuff shifting the ice (noises i believe) and so skating on it is super freaky

The noise comes from the ice cracking. Sounds of different frequencies (pitches) travel at different speeds. The high notes from the cracking sound that occurred far away, or bounced back from the edge of the lake etc. reaches your ear before the low notes. Hence you hear the wierd sound in the clip.

The bear is probably tame at this point, and it's why they say a fed bear is a dead bear in the wilderness. Because if anyone feeds them, they become comfortable with people (like this), which can lead to them becoming more human seeking creatures, leading to it having to be put down.
Short version is, depending on the breed of bear, you can basically just make friends with it with food.

Yeah, it was the ice that was making that sound. He was actually pretty safe there, it seemed like there was about 15-20cm of ice (you can tell by looking at the older cracks in the ice to see how deep they go), plenty for a person and even some ATVs or snowmobiles. I sometimes like to lay down with an ear to the ice and you can hear it cracking and shifting even from a few Kms away. I was once skating and saw a small plane land on the ice a few Kms away and it made an incredible sound. The ice is always shifting, you can compare it to small scale tectonic plates at a fast rate.
Also that Moose was decent size but they get bigger than that (at least here in Canada), we hunt them here and they can get to 700+ Kgs, it makes for a lot of good lean meat in the freezer. What's crazier is that a Moose basically survives on twigs and shrubs, it's insane that an animal can get that big on such a restrictive diet.

Regarding the moose: I don’t live in Russia (I live in the USA), but there are moose in some US states too. I saw one once on a trip to Colorado, and yes they are very big animals. A fully-grown male moose can be bigger than a small car. Normally, moose don’t bother people because they eat plants, not meat. However, they are also very territorial, and if a moose thinks you are a threat to it, you are in trouble.

If you go ice skating on a lake it always cracks like this even though the ice is thick enough. Its because the ice is a little bit above the no frozen part of the lake so if you skate on it, it wil put itself on the water
