You are an incredible teacher and player! I think you (and your cello) make the best sound I have ever heard on the cello. I enjoy all your posts. Beautiful Bach playing too
This is marvellous. I'm learning the cello as an adult, and this piece will be well beyond my reach in this life and the next. Even so, I can pick up little nuggets here and there that come in handy in my struggles around elementary Bach and Beethoven, and I recognise many of the topics from my lessons - though at quite a different level of skill, beauty and speed. Rather more importantly, I just got a renewed sense of awe for what a lifetime of dedication can lead to. Plodding about in my little sandbox has made me more aware of what it takes to bring to life the music I love; as I dive deeper, the complexity grows, and it is borderline incomprehensible to me that this is within the reach of mankind.
If u just practice effectively, and try to grasp concepts as fast as possible , u can start playing this peice no matter ur age , it’s just takes effective practice, I’ve only been playing cello for 3 years , but I’ve been practicing a lot and effectively, and I’ve been able to play Shostakovich , and parts of this piece with relative “ease”(it’s not easy) but you can only succeed in learning the cello fast , only if your willing to be happy when you fail at certain things and keep the fire that is called dedication in your heart , and you will get there in no time. :)))))
Hi Kevin Melendez, I want to, but sadly I don’t have the time right now.., it will take some serious practicing😅 it is on my wish list too. Thanks for watching and I hope to get to it soon. Inbal
