I was waiting for your videos for a very long time, I have applied all the methods that you have shared with us in my bullet journal and it has helped me a lot I have seen immense change in my productivity level.....I always wanted a system like this in my life, so grateful that I found you... I am so delighted that you are back and can't wait to watch your next video.😍 Keep sharing your knowledge😊 Eagerly waiting........

Thank you for this, I am still trying to piece together my own Zettlekasten system. You are absolutely right, the note-taking is the "easy" part-- figuring out how to systemically link all of the concepts is another challenge.
I just discovered your channel and subscribed with this video! Thank you. I would love to see how you actually use the cards: how you store them, how you reference them. I use a bullet journal, but not very effectively. An infinitely shuffleable "deck" of ideas has always seemed like what I want, but I can't seem to visualize it in use. As for a digital version, the closest match that I know of is Google Keep. It is already organized as "cards" and using the categories you can link the cards to multiple categories. I just don't like going over to it when I am reading. Again, thank you.
I’d love to hear an update of if you’re still using this system or how you’ve tweaked it. I really appreciate how your brain works- it’s similar to mine- so thanks for all the great videos!
You have such a skill for refining complex ideas and concepts into simple and practical methods that we as your audience can implement into our daily lives as well. You are so good at what you do! I look forward to more of your videos because I'm just so excited to see what your brain comes up with next ♥️ thank you for this video and for all that you're doing for your channel! It's been really helpful to me personally. Can't wait for more!
I would love to see you share a digital update on how to do this kind of note taking. I find this really brilliant. Thank you for sharing! I do hope you continue making more videos. Your sketchnotes are so beautiful. I am shocked you don't have more subscribers, you just earned a new one. Hope you come back to YT soon.
Excellent presentation! It resonates on so many levels with me. Irrespective of what many feel about this Analog System, it's what works best for some. I am one. The strength is really in the process. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Welcome back! I really like your content specially the dashboard videos and the goals setting I really like your designs. It’s very original and different. I hope to see more of your art (layouts) on your bullet journal. It’s suck an inspiration! Cheers
I would echo everyone else and say wonderful job. I really love the visuals. Those cards are great I’d also echo the concept of Obsidian, but only if you have an iPad and you get the Excalidraw plugin. That plus the Dataview plug-in could accomplish this task. You might really love that!
@Bulletproof Journals since you were wondering, the point of creating links, is that when you resurface an idea again at a later date, you also surface related ideas that you might have forgotten are connected to the idea you are surfacing. It is also a way to get in the habit of generating connections between your ideas.
Hola.
I was able to finally understand this method. I've been thinking about implementing it to my Notion because I feel it is faster and more organized but seeing you can manage it in printed format, makes me want to try it as well. BTW, I am a new subscriber. Congratulations. Amazing video!
Hey there! Just happened upon your video in my exploration of zettelkasten and visual note taking. I really appreciate you sharing your process and I can see how pertinent this would be for a visual learner. I'm excited to see how it turns out and looking forward to learning more from your channel. Keep it up! Thank you.
Yes!! Finally a zettlekasten for visual learners! I love it!! Can’t wait to see more of your system! What kinds of cards do you use? I was playing around with the idea of buying full page card stock and just cutting then to the size I want because I think regular index cards you get a the store are too thin.
one thing I will caution you against is sticking yourself in a box. we are all every type of learner, visual, physical, audio visual, etc. combine them all for the most effective learning.
I'd recommend you have a look at Obsidian, if you are looking for a digital solution. It is crafted with Zettelkasten in mind and has great visual linking maps.
This is fantastic, congratulations! Being a visual thinker myself, it intrigues, however, I also take so many digital literature notes with the Zettelkasten method, I think I would be overwhelmed by the work load and paper load... so I wonder how I would be able to implement this visual notes system...
I love your visuals, can please make a video where teach by creating some fresh cards. How you think and how you convert your thoughts to drawings and diagrams
Very interesting seems like a mix of sketch notes and the Zettelkasten it would be interesting to use it for exam preparation By the way i love the singing of the birds in the background
Interesting way of writing Zetteln. ☺ Have you watched the mind mapping videos by Justin Sung here on youtube? He uses lots of pictures for the concepts on his mindmaps and talks about how to go from something you're learning, like a lecture or a book to a mind map.
I do similar, but sketch my notes on pices of thermal label stock paper and i also have label printer always connected to my research machine. I don't hide my cards, but stick them on a special wall in my apartment in a spatially meaningful way. so that they are always in front of me and grouped by research topic/interest. like mathy ones start from top level corner, the ones on data networks is like top left, etc. I start my day by taking a glance at the wall
Really enjoy your videos. Hope to see more! I gave across your videos when looking for Atomic Habits bullet journal page idea. Btw, what pens are you using? I ask bc you are able to write so small but it’s legible.
is the prettiest ZettelKasten that i ahve seen mine is awful jajajaja thank you for the ideas im in a near sphere of profesion like yours :) greetings From Tenochtitlan
most people doing this these days are using a digital tool like obsidian to do this because it makes it a lot faster to to navigate and link between notes. its pretty neat to see someone doing it physically
How about going digital with it? Each card is an image, that is searchable by almost all the Clouds (Apple Photos, Google Photos, etc...). Because all of these cards are just images, they are future proof, and you can move them wherever and whenever you want. Just an idea. BTW: great video, and thank you for the insight. You have a new sub ;-)
Thank you for this method, I wish I had the artistic skills that you have. Nevertheless, I really got a lot out of this. Let us know if you are going to digitalization this.
I don't know why but my brain cannot divide those 2 categories, Personal Development and Productivity, isn't the Productivity thing supposed to go inside Personal Development?
These notes are awesome! I was looking at Zettelkasten before but your video is the one that inspired me to give it a go. In a true Second Brain fashion. You video reminds me of this: Ralph Ammer's How drawing helps you think (Link: ua-cam.com/video/ZqlTSCvP-Z0/v-deo.html ) which explores that unless you can draw it, then you haven't fully understood it.
In researching Zettelkasten, I just discovered a fairly new app, Scrintal, for digitizing, through Santi Younger UA-cam. This might be a great tool to add to your modified method. Also, the book, How to Take Smart Notes, by Sonke Ahrens is comprehensive guide and adds great insight to Zettelkasten method.
I’m back! 🌞❤️ And yes, bullet journal videos coming up soon. 🥰
I was waiting for your videos for a very long time, I have applied all the methods that you have shared with us in my bullet journal and it has helped me a lot I have seen immense change in my productivity level.....I always wanted a system like this in my life, so grateful that I found you...
I am so delighted that you are back and can't wait to watch your next video.😍
Keep sharing your knowledge😊
Eagerly waiting........
So glad you're back! I've also been applying your bullet journal methods and their visual simplicity and logic has helped immensely.
hurray!
Just subscribed. Please come back ❤🎉😊
Part 2? It would be interesting to see what this looks like a year later.
What an awesome merging of visual notes and Zettelkasten! Loved hearing about your process and seeing your sketchnotes. Thanks for sharing this Yani.
I am very impressed. How has this stood the test of time? I really like your ideas.

I love how visual and colourful this is.
That's genius! Love it ❤
You got no idea how amazing this video is and the way it changed my thinking ;
We need more content from you ; ❤️

Absolutely beautiful system for processing, making sense of and recoding the progression of your understanding…thank you for sharing!
I'm going to do this for writing advice. all my notes are on loose pieces of paper anyway. Tracking it more formally like this is genius!
Wow! This version of the Zettelkasten system is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing. Life changing stuff here
I would love to see you share a digital update on how to do this kind of note taking. I find this really brilliant. Thank you for sharing! I do hope you continue making more videos. YOU'RE BACK! Thank the YT gods
what a good video!! I'll try this !
Wonderfully crafted cards!
Your videos are excellent. I'd love to see more custom bullet journal spreads. Your ideas are unique and useful.
Excellent presentation! It resonates on so many levels with me. Irrespective of what many feel about this Analog System, it's what works best for some. I am one. The strength is really in the process. Looking forward to more of your videos.
This is wonderful. I hope you decide to make a part 2. I think you're on to something here.
what an amazing aproach to capture the ideas!
This is a great idea!
I will try to do it too! Thanks for sharing
Brilliantly explained and also a unique approach. I think I will try this...

Thank you for sharing! I wonder how do you color code overlapping topics that in a single card? Looking forward to watching more of this! 💛
So glad you are back! You are just amazing and everything you put up on you tube is so thoughtful.
I was able to finally understand this method. I've been thinking about implementing it to my Notion because I feel it is faster and more organized but seeing you can manage it in printed format, makes me want to try it as well.
BTW, I am a new subscriber. Congratulations. Amazing video!
I personally think one can use the ZK method to double as a journal, if they wish to go there. Glad to see a shining example of that here. Thank you!

Ever hear of Microsoft OneNote? Your System can be easily implemented in OneNote as it seems to fit your nested systm perfectly
sketches can help put the idea in your head so really like this method and your style
This is amazing and you're amazing as well. :) BTW, love the bird sounds in the background.
Amazing idea

This would totally rock with Excalidraw plugin on Obsidian, especially if on an iPad, I imagine. The visuals of these are a treat!
I'd recommend you have a look at Obsidian, if you are looking for a digital solution. It is crafted with Zettelkasten in mind and has great visual linking maps.

Greatly appreciate this.
I really love the detailed drawings! that's something that I'm definitely going to implement in my own zettelkasten!
I love your visuals, can please make a video where teach by creating some fresh cards. How you think and how you convert your thoughts to drawings and diagrams

Been missing this channel
If you are looking for a digital version of this, use obsidian with excalidraw obsidian plugin for visual note taking.
Don't be sorry about the birds in the background, that is awesome to hear
I was looking for the exact same thing , zettelkasten is good , but I’m more of a visual study type , I was looking for some way to mix them
I'll be going back to work soon which requires lots of public speaking/discussion which is not my forte, this will make all the difference.
Like Muse on IPad? Sorry if I’m wrong.
Yay!
Thanks from sri lanka 🇱🇰
Thank you for this method, I wish I had the artistic skills that you have. Nevertheless, I really got a lot out of this. Let us know if you are going to digitalization this.
😍
More than being a visual thinker (which is a questionable claim) is about creating images because thats what your work is about.
OMG..all your interest are almost my interest too
I wish you had a group coahing where I could connect with you
When will you start posting again on UA-cam? 🧐 I am patiently waiting for your videos...🙂
how can I make a digital version of this?
i really recommend the ANTINETZeetelKasten book is like the best one, miles better than Sonkhen Arens book.
Zettelkasten update video? ❤
I don't know why but my brain cannot divide those 2 categories, Personal Development and Productivity, isn't the Productivity thing supposed to go inside Personal Development?
Content != Contempt
How would I learn to turn ideas into images like you do?
Search for “sketchnoting” I recommend Doug Neill’s videos here on UA-cam over at Verbal to Visual
Any updates on your notes, etc.
basically powerpoint for taking notes?
dude, you're totally missing it. your power point comment is so unrelated
content is pronounced with stress on first syllable
These notes are awesome! I was looking at Zettelkasten before but your video is the one that inspired me to give it a go.

Keep your ideas analog. I need less computer time!
ᴘʀᴏᴍᴏsᴍ 😝
Beautiful but not practically effective for the long-run
Soo many notes soo little time ...
Most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. FYI, I have SEVEN university degrees.
