Andy, this demo is head and shoulders better than the ones on webscraper.io. So much appreciated you doing this. One suggestion: Finding the page you worked on took some effort. I suggest you put the URL in the notes to help your audience. With that said 5 stars on your resulting tutorial.
Superb tutorial. Better than any others I have seen. You could set yourself up as a web designer and offer help to others, for a fee. Much appreciated.
Thank you, Andy, for making a clear, easy to understand guide for this extension. I initially tried (in vain) to follow along with the official video that was recorded (poorly) by the developer of the extension, but it proved far too difficult to hear or understand, and didn't really take the time to explain much about the available data types. Now that I've watched your tutorial, I have a solid grasp of the steps I need to follow to accomplish my scrape. My hat is off to you, sir. Cheers!
The video on the site is ABSOLUTELY terrible! Thank you so so much for this tutorial, it just makes so much sense when you walk through it like this. Thanks again!
Hey Andy, not sure if you're still minding these comments, but wanted to tell you what an excellent job you did with this demo! The nuanced explanation was very useful. One of the reasons I am looking beyond the app developer's documentation and tutorials is to see how to handle scrapping on popup pages. I'm currently stuck with a scrapper that opens the page but doesn't capture any of the data, although I have selectors created for it. You almost went there in this tutorial, but only captured the popup URL and left it at that. How would you have scrapped the data on the popup URL?
Just for reference, and I’ll add it in the description when I get the chance. The website I’m scraping in this tutorial is www.aviddetention.org.uk/immigration-detention/find-local-visitor-groups-or-immigration-removal-centers/list-detention
Hi Andy, can you make a tutorial on how to capture table element on a page using webscrapper? the table is on every page I want to grab under different categories.
You need to make a much better caption and title for this video so it can be found. I've been working on this for most of my afternoon and barely saw this video recommendation after searching and watching the website provided tutorial videos 10x each.
Hi Andy where impressive tutorial. I have one query. If the product link page has read more as click element and then remaining page unfolds after you click on read more. In that case my webscreper only screps till read more it doesn't go below that.
That's a good question. It was a bit outside the scope of the demo at the time. I know it does it, but it isn't something I've played with to any depth. I know webscraper have bit of tutorial at ua-cam.com/video/y_n2IsZlLds/v-deo.html
Hello, I have to click on a radio button to select it and then, on the same page, click on a button to see the article/details page the radio button point to: any suggestions on how to do it?
hi there how are you? I wanted to ask you and maybe you can make a video of that, a technique to attract new customers, I have not been able to do it in a massive way, but manually and it takes time, the technique is to search with some script or something like that, I don't know anything about programming, look for websites that don't have the whatsapp button and offer them the code to create a future relationship for local seo work.
have you tried scraping data with categories? I have problems scraping ebay - daily deals, it has infinite scroll, ajax, click button and on top of that selecting all items is not easy (not in same class). if you have solution and willing to share, it would be helpful. thanks anyway, good walkthrough though

Eric Bell. Thanks Eric. Glad it was useful. That’s a good point about the website url. I’ll add it to the comments.
This is a very well thought through demo that explains how to use Web Scraper far better than the demos on Web Scraper's website.

Wtffff...An IT tutorial with decent steps, a decent microphone and in actual English?
Thanks for the video mate! Your efforts have not gone unnoticed or under appreciated!

Also, how might I go about requesting some college credit for having taken this course. ;-)
From America with GREAT APPRECIATION! Thank you for this plain English explanation that escaped the developer.....
still useful years later! thank you
