Has to be the hock for Leeds. Milanic not great either. Tbf to Evans I think he did a decent recovery job and was fairly well liked around the club because of his personality and passion
Steve MCclaren also came in, and although we all love Dexter Blackstock, he got him a 6 year extension. Alex MacLeish 9 games at forest 1 win if I remember correctly, came in on edge of play offs
Karel Fraye’s last week at Charlton saw us lose 2-1 to Colchester in the FA Cup when it could’ve been 5 or 6, went to Huddersfield on a Tuesday night and lost 5-0 and lose 6-0 to Hull away where our first shot was in stoppage time
For the Q&A Q1) Are you coping without football? If you are HOW? Q2) What is your favourite Leauge? Prem championship L1 or L2? Q3) Do you think Barnsley are staying up and if it’s a yes do you think they will survive next season?
When Malky Mackay came in I actually wanted to cry. I really don’t know why they sacked Rosler. He was one of the best managers we’d had in a long time. We’d have been promoted the season prior if we hadn’t have been in Europe and had our outstanding cup run. Everything after Rosler in the 14/15 season was an absolute car crash. The ironic thing was Rosler got sacked for having us in mid table we sacked him then things got even worse.
Steve Evans was a shock but he did okay at Leeds IMO, especially with the mess that we were in. Milanic and Hockaday were quite frankly awful and embarrassing appointments and it makes me happy that we got rid of Cellino.
SWFC - If it's going off win percentage, it's Jos Luhukay (Monk does currently have lower.) We played safety first football, and the players didn't play for him. Under Monk now, it's not any better. Even under Dave Jones it was bad, after promotion in 2012 we lost 14 from our first 21 games and the season after it took us till November to get our first win.

Shakermaker tbh I’d actually want to see Leeds promoted and see how they go under Bielsa. That would definitely leave a question mark to Bielsa’s future if Leeds aren’t promoted and the league is null and void. But I’d rather see all scummy Leeds at Old Trafford and Elland Road and hope the Red Devil’s come out on top.
For your Q&A. you said you were looking forward to go to kenilworth Road (luton away) but It was canceled if we stay up will you be looking to go there again.
Great video as ever Ben . Wesley is/ was one of life’s and football’s losers. He was a total embarrassment who knew nothing about football /management . He nearly destroyed the PNE team . Thank God for Simon Grayson . A brilliant manager for us who has been treated shabbily by a number of other clubs.
specifically for leeds, our worst since our relegation from the premier league have been Neil Warnock, Dave Hockaday, Darko Milanic, Uwe Rosler, and Paul Heckingbottom, all bloody dreadful for leeds, our best ones have been Simon Grayson and Marcelo Bielsa, the 1s inbetween the best and the worst are Kevin Blackwell, Dennis Wise, Gary McAllister, Brian McDermott, Neil Redfearn, Steve Evans, Garry Monk, and Thomas Christiansen, since our relegation from the PL we've averaged about 1 different manager every season, this imo is 1 of the major reasons leeds have been outside the PL for so long, you need some managerial consistancy, this obviously hasn't happened, the football played under some of those was awful, some of the managers themselves were really not likeable at all, and from the clubs perspective, the ownership has been a shambles too, again you have to put them partially responsible for our demise. FORTUNATELY! Leeds have had Simon Grayson and Marcelo Bielsa, Simon had some gems in lg1 and sealed promotion with a really exciting lineup, Beckford Becchio Howson Gradel Snodgrass and then defensively Kisnorbo and Naylor was a rock solid centreback pairing, and then a decade on, Marcelo took on what seemed like a very average midtable championship squad, but backed by a sensible owner in radrizani, he has turned them into absolute quality champiuonship players and got them playing some crackig football, the only players in the current squad to arrive with the ability already was probably only Hernandez, with Phillips having potential but in a more attacking midfield role before Marcelo came in, you already know how hes transformed us into a top team, sorry for the long reply, but it might get noticed!
Got to be Hockaday. A shambles and total embarrassment that he went anywhere near the home dressing room at Elland Road. His appointment was the low point for the club - worse than relegation to LG 1.The thought of him and Junior Lewis trying to give Ross McCormack tips on his forward play still gives me a headache.
Paul Trollope, one of the nicest people you will ever meet. His last game was away at burton my little brother was mascot and he took time out of the dressing room to speak to him personally, nice guy but he was a good coach, dreadful manager .. edit: he was our coach from January of the season before sand results got better so we didn’t bring him back after 6 years
Hockaday and Milanic were on a hiding to nothing. They were miles out of their depth and hired by Cellino, who didn't have the first clue about English football and the quality needed in the Championship. For the two full seasons that he did own the club, we were lucky not to be relegated. In terms of awful managers (that you'd expect to at least do a decent job), I'm looking more at Paul Heckingbottom, Steve Evans and top of the pile, English football's greatest myth, a dinosaur that made watching Leeds genuinely miserable, Neil fucking Warnock. What a truly fucking dire time that was to be a Leeds fan
Forest fan.... I absolutely detested McClaren at the time, lack of ambition in his transfers and play. Took a top 6 side for two seasons into a relegation battle. A lot of fans say 'Right man, wrong time' about McClaren but I think he's been lucky to keep getting good jobs after failure after failure after failure! Honourable mention to Alex Mcleish who had a woeful time in charge of Forest and also to Billy Davies (2nd period) who completely lost the plot and thought there was a conspiracy against him - Look that one up, was absolutely bizarre to witness my club being run like North Korea! (potential video in that)
Thing is with Rowett, I don’t think he was an awful manager he just didn’t know how to deal with big money and it all got to his head. Whereas with Jones, he talked the talk but realistically can’t manage for toffee.
QPR so many to choose from, they have all been bad apart from Warnock, Warburton. Redknapp despite our team and money only just got us up, and the first time we went down was with him and we went straight back down and he was our manager for ages. The worst Hasselbaink
I'd go Cotterill tbf. We played decent under Zola I thought but like you said couldn't defend and we were losing points but Cotterill didn't give any confidence to the players and the play style was shocking. I remember getting beat 2 - 0 by Barnsley at home, the atmosphere was so hostile and not in a good way
Fraeye was an absolute disaster but we were already a mess before he took over and we were getting humiliated. 6-0 defeat to Hull after getting smashed 5-0 by Huddersfield was awful
Why on earth BORO sacked Gareth Southgate when they were 4th in the table in the first place was beyond belief but to then get Gordon Strachan as a replacement was even harder the fathom. The fact that he thought Scottish players to be better than English Players (hence his signing of almost an entire Scottish 11). Sheesh !
Yes Ben,we`ve had some awful managers at Stoke, made even worse by the amount of money each one has wasted on some absolutely garbage players. It`s early days but I hope we`ve finally got a decent manager in Michael O`Neil.
