Judges 17:1 starts with "There was a man... 1 Samuel 1:1 starts with "There was a man..."
Job is mentioned by name in Ezekiel 14:14, and James 5:10-11.
    Here is one example.
    ‭‭James‬ ‭5:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[11] As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

According to bible scholars, the book of Job is the oldest in the Bible. Although it is the oldest, there is a passage in Genesis that mentions Job.
Job, oldest book of the Bible
Genesis, the first book in the Bible, is not the oldest book written. The Bible is not arranged chronologically. And apparently, Job is the earliest book and the oldest. But the surprising thing is, the character Job was actually found in the book of Genesis.
Genesis 36:33 says, “When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah became king in his place.”
Scholars have proven that Jobab mentioned in the above passage is actually Job.
Author and minister Lisbeth F. G. explained, “We know Jacob had a twin brother called Esau, who had 4 sons, one of them named Eliphaz. (1 Chronicles 1:35) Within the book of Job, we find Job had three friends, who came to talk with him; one man was called Eliphaz (Job 2:11).”
“Thus, the relationship between Job and Eliphaz may be proven by connecting Genesis 36, 1 Chronicles 1, and Job 2. However, some may say that the people in the book of Job reference a different Job and a different Eliphaz. Are there any other scriptures which might further connect them? Yes!”
She continued, “In Eliphaz’s talk to Job he said, “What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us? With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.” Job 15:9,10. Eliphaz mentioned Job’s father, and he indicated that he knew him.”
    Job’s Hebrew
Moreover, Lisbeth discussed Job’s Hebrew is much older than that of Moses when he wrote the Pentateuch or the Torah (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.) It only shows that Job is indeed older than the first five books of the Bible.
She said, “Job living in this time would also confirm why scholars believe Job to be the oldest book, the Hebrew used to write it is older than the Hebrew Moses would’ve written the Pentateuch in.”
Indeed, the Bible only shows that there are many authors but with only One source of knowledge and wisdom.

Sostros3 (egyption Pharoah) cursed Moab and it's ruler Job. I think Job lived after Abraham because he is referred to as from the line of Esau and Moab is after Abraham.

If you think a man being named Job is absolute proof that Job was a despotic king, wait until you learn about Jesus Of Nazareth and Jesus Barabas..

I like how the bible is suppose to be the answers to life but it creates more questions than answers.
And we human's play God's advocate.
If its something bad, we give God the benefit of doubt. "oh this didnt really happen, oh its a parable, oh its only for wisdom not history".
If its good, we claim it like its the best thing on earth.

But you have to understand there has to be a benefit of the doubt when dealing with humans that have free will, doing whatever they want. God makes decisions that have the best outcome and whatever decision he makes is his to make because he is God but that doesn't take away from the fact that he is good, he is just as well, he has to be for the better of his creation he cares for you more than you'd ever know, read his word for yourself so you may know.

God has given us all necessary knowledge if a man questions him then you can color him curious but if a man rejects the knowledge because it isn't what he wants it to be than color them a rebel because we base everything on God because he is the standard

Job is not written like the historical texts. It's written much like a poem. Also, you see more dislodge from God to a human that has no other significance other than the story itself. I don't think you see that theme anywhere else in the scriptures. My opinion, which doesn't matter is Job is a poem or fable,

This book contain long tirads and laments, they discuss God without knowing him. No Bible, no Israel at the time. Never Moses mention Job, and none of the other authors of the old-new testament ever refer to him. The oldest book is not Job but Enoch from before the flood. I think, like Ester, its a complete invention.

    *Make this Make sense*
*1. Job was righteous and God still allowed evil upon him???* But God then in Psalms 91 says "10 no evil will befall you, no plague will approach your tent. 11 For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. (So which is which, God can allow Evil upon man or not)?????
*2. How was Satan in heaven if he was cast down from heaven??*
*3. If Satan was in heaven so evil can exist in heaven???*
*4. If Satan was in heaven So there can be evil in the presence of God???*
*5. So God had a bet with satan to harm a righteous man, kill his kids and his animals to prove a point to satan?????*
*6. So Job was supposed to be happy because he got new children?????*
*7. Can new children alleviate the pain of losing his previous children.????*
*8. If being righteous can get you in trouble with God, then why be righteous????*
And yes I do believe in the resurrected Christ and cherish his salvation on the cross but this book called Job has alot of contradictions to the nature of God.

I can completely understand your confusion...
      1. Yes, evil was still allowed upon Job although he was righteous; this does not contradict the book of Psalms because God speaking specifically to someone in Psalms
      2. Satan being cast out of heaven does not mean that he wasn't allowed back into heaven; many scholars debate if Satan can still enter heaven today; Bible never says otherwise
      3. No, there is no sin in heaven because God is greater than sin. Satan being cast out of heaven was an act of his own free will.
      4. Adam and Eve walked with God and still defied him just like Satan did... It's not always that evil is happening in the presence of God but for there to be true freedom in holiness there must be an opportunity to choose wrong
      5. No. Many people believe that but that's not what happens in the context of Job... Satan actually asked God's permission to ruin Job(Satan is only as limited as other angels ie Jude 1:7)
And God didn't allow Satan to do it to prove a point, But the point of the book is that we can trust God no matter what happens.
      6. Job is a human just like you or me. He's not expected to just move on from his children and be happy...but as the book demonstrates he was able to find Peace and Joy in the Lord and live with the hope and security that no matter what happens God will be with him...
      7. No, certainly not! But giving all your pain and suffering to God certainly can!
      8. Job was never in trouble with God. Unfortunately the pain and suffering that he went through is simply a part of life. And we all go through this kind of pain and suffering differently. But in the context of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Job, one message does stand out; that if we fear the Lord and give him our all. He will bless us, either in this life or the next! And that's a part of why being righteous is so important, is because everything in this world is vanity, But everything in the next is forever!
You have amazing questions, And I hope I was able to answer them for you! I know I'm about 5 months late to answer this but I do hope you see this! God bless you, and even if you begin to doubt always trust that he is there listening!
If you haven't yet I definitely recommend reading the book of Habakkuk or the Gospel of John! God bless!
