Pran saying he hates Pat is like his defense mechanism. He always has a crush on Pat but at the same time he also knows that it's impossible, not to mention the problem between their parents which make the situation worse
It's actually really easy to follow characters logic: Pran is defensive, he overthinks a lot, and he might be very aware that Pat is flirting heavily but at the same time Pran doesn't believe that something will come out of it or even that Pat is actually interested. As for Pat, he is used to always push and invade Pran's space and his comfort zone. He might not be fully aware why he does everything and why he so heavily fixated on Pran, but Pran is his favorite person and he just so happy to get him back in his life. If you get back to ep.1, you can clearly see how noticeable changes Pat undergo. His character was introduced as this cold-headed hot-headed class leader that was looking for any chance to fight. And now upon getting back with Pran he is completely switched with that happy-puppy persona.
Thank you for your comment, i have seen Bad Buddy like 5 times and never thought about how Pat reacted when Pran suddenly moved away by his mom. Pat must be felt sad and felt like he missing something but he didn't know exactly what it is, because he didn't know that he love Pran. He must be angry a bit and fight all the time until Pran comeback to his life. When they are in the rooftop, Pat did say that he felt lonely when no more Pran for his to fight. (He was in Safe House, GMMTV's non-toxic equivalent of Big Brother where they put a bunch of their stars into a house and film them around the clock, when the episode aired and they watched it on stream.) Cutest thing was both Ohm, who portrays Pat, and Drake, who portrays Pat's friend Korn, consoling him when it happened.

Guys after this you should watch Not Me. It’s another Thai bl series and episode 10/14 just aired today. It is AMAZING and the rep is *chefs kiss*. It lives up to the phrase ‘be gay, do crime’ lol.
The director spent first four episodes to build up the characters of Pran and Pat. That becomes the pillars to support all the upcoming phenomenon episodes. I believe that’s one of the reasons BBS is the top 1 Thai BL for many people. Get ready for ep 5!
While Pran constantly acting like he doesn't like Pat can be frustrating at times, it's also perfectly understandable for him. He's had a crush on Pat since high school but he doesn't think anything could ever come of it (Pat essentially just confessed he had a crush on Ink, which is something Pran suspected since high school too, and even on the off chance that Pat did return Pran's feelings, there are all the other obstacles preventing them from being together, the biggest one being their parents; Pran already got transferred to a boarding school once just for _hanging out_ with Pat at school, imagine the fear he has of what would happen if his mom found out he was _in a relationship_ with Pat) so he's shielding himself from heartbreak and disappointment by pretending Pat doesn't mean as much to him as he actually does. I always suspected this is also why he doesn't want him in his space too much: the more he does that/the closer they get, the stronger his feelings would get too, and the worse the (in his opinion) inevitable heartbreak. 🙃
I also think that Pran pushing Pat away increased Pat's insecurity. Along with his guilt of being the reason why Pran had to be transferred, I think it may be one of the reasons why Pat wasn't aware of his romantic feelings towards Pran (except being completely oblivious as a character). How could he realise that he wanted something more when he had to "fight" to take a small part in Pran's life (even though in reality he had already occupied a huge space in Pran's heart)? There are a few instances throughout the series that we can see that Pat gets hurt by the inability to be beside Pran: He was in such a daze while waiting for his order just after their reunion in ep1. During the high school flashback when Pran left, Pat looked hurt and confused. When in ep3 he asked Pran if he treats all of his friends in the same cold way, he looked sad after hearing his response and then he "apologised" for not being one. When in ep4 he was cleary hurt and taken aback after Pran's "I hate you". I love the way Ohm paid attention to all those detailes to establish that his character's feeling were much deeper than what he was aware of. As a result, when he acknowledged them , it wasn't all of sudden, we -the viewers- had already seen them growing stronger and stronger.
Asian romance shows, especially Korean and Thai (BL) shows, taught me a lot of patience regarding the kissing stuff. It's actually hilarious to see people who are new to this react to it and being so impatient - it just shows how different the storytelling is compared to "western" romance shows where the couples hit it off by the end of episode 1. But I honestly like the slow burn because I really like to see the story evolve and the tension rise and the characters being developed. Bad Buddies gets there pretty quickly tho, they will kiss soon don't worry :'D Also, I really love how you made your own little intro sequence! It's amazing, I laughed so much
I also felt so much for Pran during that scene where Pat told him that he liked Ink. He had crush on him for a long time, and displayed poignant feelings then he tried to suppress them by showing hate. Nanon (one who played as Pran) is so good at it. He's actually a method actor. He literally changed his own identity, mindset and personality for the role of Pran like he did with other roles. That's why his emotions, actions and reactions seems so realistic and can make you feel for him. I've finished watching this series a while ago but you haven't yet so I try to not to give spoilers. Pat did like Ink in that way, but I don't think it's strong as his feelings for Pran. He grew up with parents who hated Pran's parents. They influenced Pat's feelings for Pran. It seems like he already developed feelings for Pran and wasn't aware of it. That's a difference between Pat and Pran. Pat may be an extrovert, but his emotions are disorted and has a unclear direction. He has a lack of awareness about his actions too. Meanwhile Pran's emotions are totally clear to him and immediately knows what to do. He has a emotional complexity because he learnt to suppress his feelings at the young age.
That's a great description of Pat, Pran, and how the unfortunate way, of being brought up, to hate each other, and their families created unnecessary trauma for both of them.

Nanon (Pran) known as having expressive eyes. That's why, without saying anything, we still can feel him Pran is a deep thinker. So his mind never be in peace. He has complex personality like not all people could understand him, even at yesterday talk, asst director of this series say Pran is a charming character.
honestly this BL is one of my favorites not only because the story is incredibly well acted despite the script being basic in the thai bl industry considering it's still engineering and architecture students but i think that what really made the bl so incredible was the actors who already in real life are best friends and really close, so close that they cried telling each other how much they loved each other friendly. thanks to Bad Buddy, I rediscovered a new Nanon (Pran). I was already aware that he was very good at acting with his old projects but in Bad Buddy just his eye games express all the love that Pran has for Pat, the fear of his feelings, the anxiety - saw his mother, I think he's such a touching character who will gradually evolve 😭😭 then Ohm (Pat), He's always been one of my little proteges and when he joined Gmmtv, I was enormously relieved and I was just waiting for people to recognize his talent, It wasn't easy at first but the work to pay for 😭l I will never thank Nanon and Chimon so much for integrating him into their duo, omg i am crying 😭😭 anyways from ep 5, things start seriously I can't wait to watch this together
It's really not easy for Pran to confess his feelings to Pat, you have to remember that their parents are long time rivals and are against each other, and PatPran have always been told to hate each other and to go against each other, but of course, Pat and Pran never really hated or disliked each other and actually wanted to be friends but it's just hard for them to do so with their parents constantly being in their way telling them to behave and act against each other, especially for Pran who had to transfer schools just because he was getting close with Pat, so he doesn't want to go through that experience again, he wants to be close with Pat but not too close, and Pran has always thought that Pat will never like him in that way especially when he's displaying signs that he likes Ink since high school, so he never tries to get his hopes up, and even if he sees that Pat likes him back, he doesn't want to take that chance because he thinks their relationship is impossible to happen cause of their parents feud but you'll just have to see what will happen in the next episode, these are just Pran's thoughts in this particular episode.
In the behind the scene, the director P'Aof (who is gay) was asked if he likes rugby to make them play it . He answered that he just likes men in shorts 😄 thank you P'Aof
I was smiling watching you guys discuss about a kiss in the next ep. WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF THAI BLs. Honestly, one of the reasons why Bad Buddy is special to a lot of us is the fact that it did a lot of things right, which other Thai BLs did wrong or had the audience frustrated about. I've always told, that i'd never use Bad Buddy to introduce smn to Thai BLs. I'd rather have them start off with other BLs, before showing them Bad Buddy, so they'd understand what the actual hype behind BBS is. The truth is, you enjoy BBS a whole lot more if you're already familiar with some inside info on how Thai BLs work.

I cried like a baby watching this episode and I watched it 4 times! That last scene with Pran crying is a great acting. Nanon, who plays Pran, is indeed a great actor, one of the best in Thailand.
I think it’s so funny but accurate that Pran calls Pat a dog bcs when you really pay attention to his mannerisms he’s LITERALLY a dog, the way he bases how he’s feels abt someone off of how they smell, he’s politely oblivious but not dumb, he scurries into rooms with no regard for anything, super active and energetic, is just adorably direct no matter what he’s doing, and is genuinely the nicest person ever unless he doesn’t like you, it’s amazing really when you start to notice just how much he acts like a dog 😭😭
I love episodes 4 and 5, because 4 is needed for all of 5. And episode 5 is my all time favorite because every single scene is amazing. Also, your reaction to Ohm's body and out-of-control bulge in the rugby scene is very very relatable.
The fact that both these dorks are like 90% like this in reality is tasking, like you're trying to get over BBS and there they are Pat/Pran live version. And you know what's worse?! Their off-reel interactions are even better 😭😭😭 The struggle is real
Am I the only one who feels like when pran said I hate you he deep down wanted to really mean it and when pat heard him say it I feel like his body and heart subconsciously didn’t like hearing those words from pran because he actually liked him he just doesn’t realize it in his mind.
I feel like Pran said he hates him only because Pat said "Yes" about liking Ink. Pran does not hate Pat at all (Spoiler: there is one scene in the future episode explaining the "hate" dynamic)
You guys when you said "The acting was very good." Istg i screamed a big YASSS because the micro-acting of Nanon using his eyes to portray Pran is so genius - Pran never shows the people around him how he really feels, he always presents himself as this perfect strong and ever reliable Pran and the only window towards his soul is his eyes. I love how Nanon portrayed Pran so much. Even after all these years i always adore it.

Ohm's (Pat) recent photoshoot for Mint Magazine. You'll d-word, we all did. Ohm's a man confident in his body, let's say. Ohm and Nanon (Pran) did a photoshoot for the same magazine together and that's amazing too. In fact, all OhmNanon photoshoots are top tier.
however impatient you feel, I totally get you but honestly its SOOOO worth the wait. the way the story progresses and everything that happens is just perfectly done I cannot even explain it, you'll feel the satisfaction when it happens i promise you
the last scene of this episode always gets me sad, the way pran was trying to hold his tears in and when he answered by saying he hates pat as a defense mechanism 😭 💔 i remember when ohm (pat) and nanon (pran) watched this episode along with other actors from their company, nanon still got really emotional watching that last scene and ohm comforted him🥺

Also I agree that ''Not me'' is the next show you should check out but there is already spoilers here... About Pran's reaction, don't forget about their parent's situation and the fact than Pat has always blown hot and cold with him. It’s been a month since it finished already and I can’t get over BBS and watching you guys react makes me feel everything again . You can’t imagine the hype after each episode in tw . The character development discussion about pat and pran and much more . Nanon and ohm did amazing and pat/pran really showed us a healthy relationship something we don’t see often in BL series .
One fun fact about the Rugby scenes is that the coach is actually the coach from Thailand's national team; they practice all the parts with him. And *spoiler alert* in the next match acts a professional rugby player.

I think it’s safe to say that Ohm (the actor who plays Pat) is incredibly attractive-actually both lead actors are attractive, to be honest. I saw that there is a promo for a season two of “Bad Buddy” on UA-cam, but I don’t want to watch it until I finish the whole first season. I’m trying not to watch too far ahead, but I’m not sure I can hold out before watching the next one, which for me is episode 8. And your reactions continue to be delightful!
That season 2 promo is for sure fan made. As far as I know nothing regarding any form of continuation of the series has been confirmed. But I really do hope we get at least a special episode...!
Can't wait for the next episode, your reactions are so funny! Pat's feelings towards Ink are a major part of this show for a few more episodes so watch out for a bit more heart break from Pran. And it isn't really clear at this point, but Pat has definitely done this to Pran before. He flirts and pesters and helps him and then in the next breath is chasing after some girl. That's why Pran is so wary about letting him, because he doesn't want to get burned again
I don't know if you guys picked it up yet, but, if you notice closely, Pran has a lot of happy/sad emoji face thingies in all parts of his room. That's because he's an introvert and that is the way that he likes to express his emotions. Even in that ending scene, Pran was crying but his bed light was a happy emoji face, bc Pat was there with him and they were being closer to each other then ever, and he in someway liked that even though it kinda also hurt him.
Not you guys talking about them kissing before ep 5 🤣🤣 This is one of the few series with an earlier kiss scene. We used to wait till the last episode before the main couple in bl would hold hands.

i laughed so much watching this. love to re watch this with you :) i would just like to say, Asian BLs, and esp Thai, you will mostly not get kisses until very late in the series and most often they are more like pecks and often quite awkward. recently, some, are starting to do more (and some too much lol) but it is one of the reasons why BBS is loved so much. especially if it's a series by gmmtv. just keep this in mind if you'll do more. BBS also mocks some classic BL tropes, which makes it even more loved.

He's had a crush on Pat since high school but he doesn't think anything could ever come of it (Pat essentially just confessed he had a crush on Ink, which is something Pran suspected since high school too, and even on the off chance that Pat did return Pran's feelings, there are all the other obstacles preventing them from being together, the biggest one being their parents; Pran already got transferred to a boarding school once just for _hanging out_ with Pat at school, imagine the fear he has of what would happen if his mom found out he was _in a relationship_ with Pat) so he's shielding himself from heartbreak and disappointment by pretending Pat doesn't mean as much to him as he actually does. I always suspected this is also why he doesn't want him in his space too much: the more he does that/the closer they get, the stronger his feelings would get too, and the worse the (in his opinion) inevitable heartbreak. 🙃
I also think that Pran pushing Pat away increased Pat's insecurity. Along with his guilt of being the reason why Pran had to be transferred, I think it may be one of the reasons why Pat wasn't aware of his romantic feelings towards Pran (except being completely oblivious as a character). How could he realise that he wanted something more when he had to "fight" to take a small part in Pran's life (even though in reality he had already occupied a huge space in Pran's heart)? There are a few instances throughout the series that we can see that Pat gets hurt by the inability to be beside Pran: He was in such a daze while waiting for his order just after their reunion in ep1. During the high school flashback when Pran left, Pat looked hurt and confused. When in ep3 he asked Pran if he treats all of his friends in the same cold way, he looked sad after hearing his response and then he "apologised" for not being one. When in ep4 he was cleary hurt and taken aback after Pran's "I hate you". I love the way Ohm paid attention to all those detailes to establish that his character's feeling were much deeper than what he was aware of. As a result, when he acknowledged them , it wasn't all of sudden, we -the viewers- had already seen them growing stronger and stronger.

Asian romance shows, especially Korean and Thai (BL) shows, taught me a lot of patience regarding the kissing stuff. It's actually hilarious to see people who are new to this react to it and being so impatient - it just shows how different the storytelling is compared to "western" romance shows where the couples hit it off by the end of episode 1. But I honestly like the slow burn because I really like to see the story evolve and the tension rise and the characters being developed. Bad Buddies gets there pretty quickly tho, they will kiss soon don't worry :'D
Also, I really love how you made your own little intro sequence! It's amazing, I laughed so much
I also felt so much for Pran during that scene where Pat told him that he liked Ink. He had crush on him for a long time, and displayed poignant feelings then he tried to suppress them by showing hate. Nanon (one who played as Pran) is so good at it. He's actually a method actor. He literally changed his own identity, mindset and personality for the role of Pran like he did with other roles. That's why his emotions, actions and reactions seems so realistic and can make you feel for him.
I've finished watching this series a while ago but you haven't yet so I try to not to give spoilers. Pat did like Ink in that way, but I don't think it's strong as his feelings for Pran. He grew up with parents who hated Pran's parents. They influenced Pat's feelings for Pran. It seems like he already developed feelings for Pran and wasn't aware of it. That's a difference between Pat and Pran. Pat may be an extrovert, but his emotions are disorted and has a unclear direction. He has a lack of awareness about his actions too. Meanwhile Pran's emotions are totally clear to him and immediately knows what to do. He has a emotional complexity because he learnt to suppress his feelings at the young age.
That's a great description of Pat, Pran, and how the unfortunate way, of being brought up, to hate each other, and their families created unnecessary trauma for both of them.

Pran is a deep thinker. So his mind never be in peace. He has complex personality like not all people could understand him, even at yesterday talk, asst director of this series say Pran is a charming character.
Just in case it wasn't clear from how heartbroken Pran was afterwards, Pat was the one who said "yes" to the "do you like ink" question.
honestly this BL is one of my favorites not only because the story is incredibly well acted despite the script being basic in the thai bl industry considering it's still engineering and architecture students but i think that what really made the bl so incredible was the actors who already in real life are best friends and really close, so close that they cried telling each other how much they loved each other friendly. thanks to Bad Buddy, I rediscovered a new Nanon (Pran). I was already aware that he was very good at acting with his old projects but in Bad Buddy just his eye games express all the love that Pran has for Pat, the fear of his feelings, the anxiety - saw his mother, I think he's such a touching character who will gradually evolve 😭😭 then Ohm (Pat), He's always been one of my little proteges and when he joined Gmmtv, I was enormously relieved and I was just waiting for people to recognize his talent, It wasn't easy at first but the work to pay for 😭l I will never thank Nanon and Chimon so much for integrating him into their duo, omg i am crying 😭😭 anyways from ep 5, things start seriously I can't wait to watch this together
It's really not easy for Pran to confess his feelings to Pat, you have to remember that their parents are long time rivals and are against each other, and PatPran have always been told to hate each other and to go against each other, but of course, Pat and Pran never really hated or disliked each other and actually wanted to be friends but it's just hard for them to do so with their parents constantly being in their way telling them to behave and act against each other, especially for Pran who had to transfer schools just because he was getting close with Pat, so he doesn't want to go through that experience again, he wants to be close with Pat but not too close, and Pran has always thought that Pat will never like him in that way especially when he's displaying signs that he likes Ink since high school, so he never tries to get his hopes up, and even if he sees that Pat likes him back, he doesn't want to take that chance because he thinks their relationship is impossible to happen cause of their parents feud but you'll just have to see what will happen in the next episode, these are just Pran's thoughts in this particular episode.
In the behind the scene, the director P'Aof (who is gay) was asked if he likes rugby to make them play it . He answered that he just likes men in shorts 😄 thank you P'Aof
I was smiling watching you guys discuss about a kiss in the next ep. WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF THAI BLs. Honestly, one of the reasons why Bad Buddy is special to a lot of us is the fact that it did a lot of things right, which other Thai BLs did wrong or had the audience frustrated about.
I've always told, that i'd never use Bad Buddy to introduce smn to Thai BLs. I'd rather have them start off with other BLs, before showing them Bad Buddy, so they'd understand what the actual hype behind BBS is.
The truth is, you enjoy BBS a whole lot more if you're already familiar with some inside info on how Thai BLs work.

I cried like a baby watching this episode and I watched it 4 times! That last scene with Pran crying is a great acting. Nanon, who plays Pran, is indeed a great actor, one of the best in Thailand.
I think it’s so funny but accurate that Pran calls Pat a dog bcs when you really pay attention to his mannerisms he’s LITERALLY a dog, the way he bases how he’s feels abt someone off of how they smell, he’s politely oblivious but not dumb, he scurries into rooms with no regard for anything, super active and energetic, is just adorably direct no matter what he’s doing, and is genuinely the nicest person ever unless he doesn’t like you, it’s amazing really when you start to notice just how much he acts like a dog 😭😭

About Pran's reaction, don't forget about their parent's situation and the fact than Pat has always blown hot and cold with him. He's protecting himself because he doesn't know if Pat really likes him like that. Please beware if all the spoilers. There is another scene just after the mini credits at the end of episode 6. It’s been a month since it finished already and I can’t get over BBS and watching you guys react makes me feel everything again . You can’t imagine the hype after each episode in tw . The character development discussion about pat and pran and much more . Nanon and ohm did amazing and pat/pran really showed us a healthy relationship something we don’t see often in BL series .
ohm (the actor playing pat) works super hard for his body and is really proud of it too!

One fun fact about the Rugby scenes is that the coach is actually the coach from Thailand's national team; they practice all the parts with him. And *spoiler alert* in the next match acts a professional rugby player.

I think it’s safe to say that Ohm (the actor who plays Pat) is incredibly attractive-actually both lead actors are attractive, to be honest. I saw that there is a promo for a season two of “Bad Buddy” on UA-cam, but I don’t want to watch it until I finish the whole first season. I’m trying not to watch too far ahead, but I’m not sure I can hold out before watching the next one, which for me is episode 8. And your reactions continue to be delightful!
That season 2 promo is for sure fan made. As far as I know nothing regarding any form of continuation of the series has been confirmed. But I really do hope we get at least a special episode...!

And it isn't really clear at this point, but Pat has definitely done this to Pran before. He flirts and pesters and helps him and then in the next breath is chasing after some girl. That's why Pran is so wary about letting him, because he doesn't want to get burned again
I don't know if you guys picked it up yet, but, if you notice closely, Pran has a lot of happy/sad emoji face thingies in all parts of his room. That's because he's an introvert and that is the way that he likes to express his emotions. Even in that ending scene, Pran was crying but his bed light was a happy emoji face, bc Pat was there with him and they were being closer to each other then ever, and he in someway liked that even though it kinda also hurt him.
Not you guys talking about them kissing before ep 5 🤣🤣 This is one of the few series with an earlier kiss scene. We used to wait till the last episode before the main couple in bl would hold hands.

i would just like to say, Asian BLs, and esp Thai, you will mostly not get kisses until very late in the series and most often they are more like pecks and often quite awkward. recently, some, are starting to do more (and some too much lol) but it is one of the reasons why BBS is loved so much. especially if it's a series by gmmtv. just keep this in mind if you'll do more.
BBS also mocks some classic BL tropes, which makes it even more loved.
