Sorry, but to me it NEVER came even close to the original. And that already was a remake of the 7 Samurai. In my opinion both are far superior movies. It's just my opinion, so please don't crucify me.
The original was a great movie and has become a classic. This piece of tripe will be forgotten in a few years. Hollywood should realize these things and leave well enough alone.
