She clearly has a mind of her own, and felt that Bianca was projecting her grief onto her. From what it sounds like, she's practically lived those 5 years not being around her mom as much, and has pretty much moved forward with her life already with her own issues. As far as sides goes, she's not really choosing JR or Bianca. She's choosing to stand by AJ. She likely didn't want to choose, but it was thrust upon her. She chose friendship. At her age, it's not surprising.

Watching this now, clearly while Bianca still loves Marissa and is grieving, her heart has been poisoned by anger and hatred. As for JR, he basically spiraled into the worst version of himself in that final Pre‐Prospect Park arc with his drinking. Swallowed up by his grief, pain, anger, and loneliness, he was a broken man. It was as if he had lost complete faith in himself. He had lost his sense of self. Honestly, in the whole time I've watched JR, I get the distinct feeling that he never really had a strong sense of independence and individuality. He always needed to have a woman by his side. That was probably his biggest issue.
I think this is why the writers keep giving Bianca tragedies and bad luck in love; Eden Riegel is amazing at displaying grief and probably the best crier on the show during the time I watched it.
Adam's no...I know Erica stabbed Dimitri but in her mind, she saw Richard Fields, the man who rapped her and fathered Kendall and who attempted to rape Bianca. I don't doubt she would want to kill JR. Initially, anyway. I doubt she'd follow through. She has others to consider before taking that step. Not to mention, I don't think she has it in her. That's more of a David thing.

khadijah279 AMC was online on Hulu for a few months after ABC cancelled it. Then Hulu cancelled it. I don’t think there is anyplace to see it except these short clips on UA-cam.

I don’t know the circumstances between Mona and Whomever she shot, but Erica was traumatized by her own rape and didn’t know it was Dimitri she stabbed. She saw Richard Fields. She also didn’t kill anyone!
