Great video and very pretty soap..a few tips though not sure if mentioned..grind up the oatmeal first or it will be very abrasive! Also watch the temps when pouring if you dont want layers to mingle..if you want layers make sure first layer is cool enough to have a skin and the soap your about to pour isnt too hot or it will go right thru. You can also add fragrance oil like oatmeal n honey but check usage rate by supplier and make sure its safe to use in soap too
Iif you want a swirl you can pour before the film is setup in the top of your first layerBUT if you want designated layers then give it a chance to set up how long we’ll that would depend on how thick the precious layer is… ALWAYS ALWAYS spray the rubbing alcohol on the previous layer before you add the next layer … the alcohol allows the two layers to bind together Now if you don’t do this when you in mold The two layers will separate Of course the soap is good … you just will have to be creative with putting them back together with a spritz of alcohol then a thin layer of soap and spritz and add the other layer that did not originally stick I am pretty sure that is how I did it years ago.. All of the soap layers can be carefully remelted if you had to…
Hello, first I would like to say this was an awesome video! I would like to know if it won't okay to use a shea butter base in place of the white base?
Hello, No because shea butter by itself won't completely harden. Possibly if you add a little melted shea butter to this mix it may be okay. When I use shea butter and coconut oil I make it from scratch not melt and pour. Hope this helps :-) I plan to do a video of soap from scratch soon:)
Hi Sorry for late response but I like to to droplets I have to check the oz on the droplet but remember that when you buy quality essential oils less is more :)
Sorry for my late response! Honestly if I keep my soap away from excess water hitting it. It can last me 3 weeks. I feel like store brought soap last longer but only because of added chemicals so it stays firm which is kind of weird as we think about it because it takes a while to actually soften. Hope this helps ☺️
I personally wouldn't use it on my face if I have sensitive skin. But then again a lot of over the counter products we use on our face isn't skin so it would prob be fine :)
It is used to get rid of the bubbles that form after pouring for a smooth finish. It’s also important to spray alcohol before you add another layer so the soap binds together.
It’s great to see a woman of color being so kind and teaching us how to do this.

What’s the purpose of the alcohol?
No essential oil or scents added to the soap?
Recipe pkease
So you don't have to wait for each layer to harden a bit before pouring each layer or adding the alcohol?
Not with Melt & Pour soap especially if you want a swirl design.

The two layers will separate

Hello I love your channel. What kind of essential oil did you use and how much?
I use traditional essential oils and I'm not sure at the moment but I brought a lot of soaping books.
when do you add the oils
New sub here glad I found you and ty for sharing this video
Hi 👋 how much essential oil should I put for 5oz of base?
Hi Sorry for late response but I like to to droplets I have to check the oz on the droplet but remember that when you buy quality essential oils less is more :)
You never mentioned what is the third layer?
The 3rd layer was another layer was clear melt & pour with honey mixed into it :)
Very pretty! What fragrance did you choose?
I like to use peppermint with this blend.
Wouldn't the oat rot ?
Maybe if you had the soap a year unused :)
How much longer do you think your bar of soap lasts VS store bought soap?

What size is your soap mold? Would the 44oz mold work for your method?
I'm so sorry I ended up moving so I'm not sure what size the mold is but its the normal size you can order from amazon. Hope this helps :)
What’s the alcohol for?
Air bubbles
What if I don’t have clear soap base ? Can I still do it this way
You can use white soap base but it won't show the oats the way the clear does :)
Thank you Queen ❤
@@Jammiealleñde Your welcome :)
One question, what's the alcohol for?
The air bubbles.
Hi ! Where did you get your soap deep mold/cutter?
Hi, Amazon!
@@SignedbyShanice do u remember the size. Think I ordered the wrong size. That looks to be more than 5 oz. u melted.
Is this safe to use on the face?
I personally wouldn't use it on my face if I have sensitive skin. But then again a lot of over the counter products we use on our face isn't skin so it would prob be fine :)
Will it sweat? If outside.
The soap? Maybe but Melt and pour hardens immediately but I would keep out of sunlight :)
How much oats… you didn’t say
Cover the bottom of the mold.
