SPV3 has been such a great treat for Halo fans like myself who are embittered by the current downward spiral of Halo and the industry in general. THANK YOU!
In the commentary they explain that the tunnel opening was originally ment to be like the mouth of a cave. It got changed last minute and the sound design team didn't get time to record a replacement line to guide the players into the tunnel.

The first time I heard this, it sounded way too different from the original Halo, so I was put off by it. Then I listened more, and now I know the intention was not to make a copy, but a new twist on the Halo music. Martin would be proud.

The UNSC was able to hold off the Covenant Onslaught for nearly a decade but then Thel'Vadamee Began his attacks on the Inner Colonies in 2548 requiring the UNSC Fleet to be Recalled to defend them. The Offensives were largely successful with the UNSC Causing major Damage to Covenant Logistics and even Conquered some of their planets. But it was all for nothing when they had to pull out. The UNSC were looking for the Covenant Homeworld (What they didn't know was that it was actually High Charity) It was a bold move as the UNSC was getting their asses Kicked by the Covenant by 2552.
...brrrr!! Listening to this...gives me the shivers. This definitely brings back memories when I first played halo back in 2002. It was a game I have never seen before and it still has epicness and appeal it had back then. Wish I had custom edition so I can play this version Just listening to this is epic!
My rule is if I have it on console I should have it on PC too. I've bought halo 1 twice, halo 1 anniversary, and halo MCC collection. All I can say is holy s***. I got major Halo 3 vibes from this. This is the best soundtrack I've heard for this franchise in 10 years. Every second made my hairs stand on end. I am a musician working on my own medley for a concert band, by the way.

This is incredible, the music fits so well with Halo: Combat Evolved. It's everything that the game could have been in the remake. Although the Wraith in Truth and Reconciliation is a real pain to deal with, jump in it and Banshees come to ruin your day, the one thing I am not happy about is the fact that their is Rocket Launcher ammo but no Rocket Launcher, that Launcher would have been damn useful to kill that Wraith or blow it up so you wouldn't have to deal with it.
The Thunder mix of Rock Anthem for Saving the World sounds like you took the Air Traffic Control movement of Skyline and put it in a blender with Rock Anthem. And holy shit, it's fucking AMAZING.
it would be really awesome if you could make a video just playing that song, so i could be playing SPV3 and listing to it without occasionally hearing it in game for like 30 seconds
This isn’t bad at all. Definitely takes a lot of effort and talent to be able to reconstruct Marty’s music and still make it anywhere near good. If I’m being honest, I like a lot of the original better, but this is still really good. I’m not complaining in any shape or form. I like the idea of remaking it but still keeping the original sound around it. That’s really hard to do and you pulled it off really well. Really well done, 10/10, I’m sure Marty would appreciate this.
My favourite track in Halo was Ambient Wonder, it was so powerful, full of wonder, mystery and emotion. It felt very alien. And hearing your version of Ambient Wonder, it's incredible, i'm in love with it.
He did brilliantly with that track, absolutely beautiful. Hearing all these tracks is amazing, you guys have done some incredible work. All these songs are so awesome! SPV3 recaptured that wonder and awe I felt years ago when playing Halo CE for the first time, never thought I would be able to relive the feeling until SPV3.

SPV3 is the best halo mod I've ever played. It's closer to the lore than any of the other games with the weapon variety and how difficult enemies should be. Having to dump 3+ mags of battle rifle into an elite's shield like on Harvest with Jenkins etc. Sucks that it will never have co-op though.

I love how it just cranks up the epicness to a whole other level compared to the original version. The original had just the solo, but this has so many things going on in the background as well. You should be proud, I think everyone agrees that 343's music team could learn a thing or two from you. You clearly know how to use nostalgic pieces and make them feel new. The soundtrack is really good, I like it because it changes some things to make it different from combat evolved, but when you hear the song you can still recognize what song it is from combat evolved. Some are a little unrecognizable, but it keeps the feel and atmosphere combat evolved's music had.
Everyone on this team did a great job. I didn't know about this project until recently and very impressed with all aspects including this beautiful OST. The commitment to the original source material and execution is well appreciated. Halo 1 will always be the gold standard for all the Halos to try to live up to and this team has done an inspirational job. Glad to know the community is going strong!

Thats the idea. Evolved doesnt exactly feel as a Halo CE level so thats why I did it. Also Originall we were supposed to make Mjolnir and put it there but time time time
I've had a deep connection with music for many years and this is some of the very best and most emotional music I've ever heard. I know Marty and Michael did most of the original arrangements, but you breathe new life into them with elegance and expertise. Phenomenal job!

My last three UA-cam videos on my channel are my experimentations with some new VSTs - still need some work on the drums and would appreciate some guidance.
Percussions are west africa and strings are Lass iirc and some spitfire stuff. Sure! I'll check it later.

I've had a deep connection with music for many years and this is some of the very best and most emotional music I've ever heard. I know Marty and Michael did most of the original arrangements, but you breathe new life into them with elegance and expertise. Phenomenal job!
