  • Canmore, Alberta, Canada, drive between Banff and Canmore, Curbside Museum, Pocaterra Inn and Iron Goat Pud & Grill in this video.
    In this video we visit our favourite city in the Rocky Mountains. We love staying in Canmore when we are visiting Banff National Park; It is a short and beautiful drive into Banff. Becaue Canmore is just outside the park boundaries there is no park pass required and the accommodations are cheaper than in the park. This city is full of beauty from hikes to the creative culture of 'the big head' and the curbside museum. Our favourte place to eat is Iron Goad Pub and Grill. This Pub serves Canadian favourites and most all items on the menu can be made gluten free.

    Ooooh how cool, the Gaelic connection: Canmore=Big Head. That sculpture had me beat. Love it. And that Museum deserves a prize. Fabulous creative thought. What a lovely apartment at the Inn. It looked extremely comfortable. The food: I wish I had had breakfast before I watched it. I'm off to the kitchen now. Drooling and having to settle for my yoghurt, walnut and blueberry fix. Happy days. ❤️👍🎥🌷🙋‍♀️

      Hi Oma. I see you've recovered from your huge snow fall. Yes great pick up. Canmore has a huge Scottish connection and roots. The big giant head was a give away lol It's a great little city to stay in and less tourists than Banff. Our dinner was fabulous I got hungry making the video. I love my yogurt bowl, with cashews, blueberries and dark chocolate. Thanks for watching xx Shawna

    • @PortlyTravellers
      @PortlyTravellers  3 роки тому +1

      I like priemer pro, lots to learn but there is no limit to what can be achieved. Lots of Hollywood films are done using it. When you are looking at cameras look at the price of lenses too. We picked a micro 4 thirds because the lenses are way cheaper and smaller in size than full frame.
      We end up in Canmore at least once or twice a year. We're just outside of Vernon so it's a fairly fast drive and a great weekend getaway. -Shawna🍁

    Beautiful place!
    It looks very relaxing.
    Are there any possibilities for renting a private accommodation (room or cottage). If yes, then how much are approximately prices for renting something that way?
    I'm guessing that prices are dependent on the season you're visiting the place But any info that would provide me with some clue, would be highly appreciated.

    • @PortlyTravellers
      @PortlyTravellers  Рік тому +2

      It is a great place to connect with nature. We've only stayed in hotels, I'm sure there are private places on airbnb. The prices are very high in the summer but much more affordable in the shoulder and off season. Our hotel room was $200 a night in the shoulder season and $500 if we were to go in the summer. It's still more affordable than staying in Banff National Park and only a short drive.
