What an excellent speech!!! His upbringing as a second generation immigrant in another country has shaped his thoughts and gave him a certain maturity that allows him to portray many different characters in his films with different actresses from all age groups.
It’s ironic that the American-Korean community has a German-Korean as an awardee. But good for him that they recognize his contributions to the American-Korean community. It was an interesting anecdote where he felt too cold with the air-conditioning in the U.S. probably because in Germany air-conditioning is not that common even in office buildings. As a side note, I want to watch a series or film with Teo Yoo and Take yon as brothers. I think they look very similar.
Teo is one of Korea's most talented actors. He stands out in whatever minor or lead characters he portrays, as well as in the interviews he gives. I hope Teo gets to play the dream character that he mentioned in the speech.

When you move there, i quickly realized I'm not Korean as the adjustment was rough (some things i still couldn't adjust to). Would love to hear his unfiltered insights into Germany, what it means to him, how he views himself in that way. I hope he gets to tell that story someday
