I wanted to say thanks for uploading these guys and how glad I am I stumbled across them. This band is truly original and creative. I’ve been disappointed recently that most bands operating under the ‘post rock’ handle, are really just playing the same boring prog rock that all right-minded teenagers rebelled against way back in 1977. I don’t get the impression that these guys are virtuosos or technical geniuses, though I suppose they may be. They have what i’m Interested in - imagination, fearlessness, disregard for convention and a dependable ability to surprise. While the old prog rock dinosaur traditions - or as we called them then -“boring old farts” - are hijacking what I believed ‘post rock’ meant, this mighty little trio from Portugal are delivering the real goods. Regardless of when they began, I see groups like Zoviet France and Ramleh and the Halfer Trio as what post rock really is. Their common denominator is their originality and gift for transporting me, mind and spirit, to unfamiliar places. I place Telectu firmly in that proud company. They’re not showing off, they’re expanding the horizon. Post rock is dead. Long live post-post rock. Bravo, guys.
