    U missed question 18?

    Firstly, thank you so much for your dedication to providing solutions!! Much appreciation!
    For number 46:
    If you make graph diagrams corresponding to the respective pairs added to the given set,
    A, B, D would pass the vertical line test, so including all those points would keep the given set a function.
    A: {(-2, 7), (4, 6), (10, 4), (1, 3)} pass
    B: {(-2, 7), (4, 6), (10, 4), (0, 4)} pass
    D: {(-2, 7), (4, 6), (10, 4), (-8, 10)} pass
    Including choice C, we'd have a diagram that fails the vertical line test at -2
    C: C: {(-2, 7), (4, 6), (10, 4), (-2, 8)} fail
    So choice (C) would form a relation that is not a function.
    Every x would not have a unique y [assuming we're dealing with ordered pairs (x, y)]
    With choice B we'd have a not one to one function, but it's still a function
    It isn't specified which way the arrows would go for the mapping
    I'm assuming the first number maps to the second, which is convention
    But if it's the other way around, B is correct
    Hmm, so which is it?
    I think stating that we're dealing with "ordered pairs" implies the 1st is mapped to the 2nd,
    that is, the 2nd number of the pair is a function of the first: so choice C would be my answer
    With some some ambiguity here, I think this question could be a bit unfair to students.
    Maybe it could be stated in a way that would remove any doubts~

    How u work the paper all over the place its confusing?

    • @MathsMeter
      @MathsMeter  3 роки тому +1

      I didn't think it mattered because the questions are not leading questions, all are separate so it doesn't matter the order. But your feedback is noted.

    For question 42 my shortcut was dividing 60 by 2 which will give you 30 and then adding the number for the bars so 3 kg = 11, 4 kilograms = 10 , 5 kg = 9 add them all together so we get 30 which would be in the 3rd bar which is 5 kg and add the 4th bar which is 6 kg and the divide them by 2 since 60 does not have a middle number

  • @dettasoeyt
    @dettasoeyt 2 роки тому +2

    for number 14 you could have just divide the 100 by 2 which leaves 50 then divide the 180 by 50 which will result in the answer 3.6

    Hiii for number 43, 7.8- 2.2 is equal to 5.6 not 4.6. Will the answer remain the same?

    • @MathsMeter
      @MathsMeter  2 роки тому

      Yes. It looked at it again the Q3 looks like 7.4 and Q1 is 2.4 by estimation as I can't see the question well. So it would be five.

    I am lost.. At the mode part.. You put A.. (5.) Mode.. Is the number that appears the most.. Why 5 is the answer shouldnt it be 9..

    • @MathsMeter
      @MathsMeter  2 роки тому +1

      Define the mode also has the one with the highest frequency. In this case our frequency is the number of students, the item is the number of books, so 13 students bought 5 books, if we were to list out the amount of books bought, we would realize that 5 books bought occurs 13 times, as opposed to 3,4 and 7 books bought which occurs 9 times. What I think you have confused the frequency (no of students) with the item. So because 9 occurs 3 times in frequency doesn't make it mode. The highest frequency is 13 and that matches 5 books bought. I hope this cleared it up.

      So we know that all angles in the triangle add to give 180°. Thus ∠a + ∠b + ∠c = 180°. So let's try a non- algebraic question, suppose the ∠a = 40, and ∠b= 60, how would we find the ∠c, we would find the sum of ∠'s a and b and then subtract that total from 180, it would look like this 180 - (40 + 60) = 80°.
      * If the question said that all angles in the triangle were equal then your choice would be D.
