Today I received my Akai GX-620!! Mark did an amazing job. I know that they are so many UA-cam channels, but if you all noticed lot of them are messy and very disorganized. One of the main reasons why I decided to trust this channel is because the way Mark presents the channel, how clean and well organized he is. On top of that his knowledge regarding any king of vintage electronics is simple vast. For my next project I definitely have Mark on mind. The Revox A77! Thanks to Mark I have my collection complete!
Very informative video. My GX 620 has just failed and the motor and buttons are suddenly dead. No capstan spinning. What do I do? Which chip routes power to both switch controller IC and the main motor?

John, thanks for checking out the video! You should go to the power supply and check for an issue, maybe an open fuse, resistor or something shorted.
