I would like to make it one more PIECE OF JUNK comment. Bought it in 04/22 and by 08/22, it no longer ran. First two weeks, the rubber flap on the back came off.. I chose not to use the grass catcher, so the side outlet kept clogging up. Finally had to take it completely off, just so the grass would have some place to go. Shortly there after, the blade quit turning. The motor ran fine, but not the blade. Contacted them for consumer supports, all I received were messages saying that they received my email. Contacted Walmart and was told that Powersmart had a one year warranty, but when I mentioned it to Powersmart, no more acknowledgement that they received my emails. I sit it outside my house hoping someone woiuld steal it, but after 8 months, it's still there. I didn'y realize that it was run by belts, until I took it apart, buty now I can't find a replacement belt. Which I knew a thief to call.
They're sold out, I emailed them and will update with the results. I've only had my db2194sh mower for 9 months and can't find a replacement belt anywhere.
Notice at 0:11 the blade connecter and blade are aligned. Note at 1:13 the blade connector and blade not aligned as before disassembly. Blade and blade connector should be aligned , plus the blade should be turned counter to cutting direction for tension to "wind up" the pull cord to start. Any replies welcomed, powersmart customer services needs improvement.

I’ve had the 209cc like this one since November 7 months now, and the only issue I’ve had so far was the shorter wide blade belt broke last week. It’s not a bad mower for home use for the price jump st don’t like the way it cuts

If it's the self propelled belt, make sure the tension screw is adjusted properly. If it's the blade belt, make sure the spring is positioned properly as well as the belt so that it's snug on the pulleys. Should be a tight fit.
Be careful careful. But you'd better ask a professional maintenance person to replace it, if the damage is caused by repairing by yourself, the warranty will not be valid.

@@fiberglass101 the same way you disconnect any spark plug, by removing the boot. Which in this case is metal like aluminum rather a rubber boot, and is located under the only plastic top cover. Just remove the two bolts to gain access. There's a video of how to replace the spark plug on this channel. Besides, the spark plug should be grounded unless you pull the bail lever. Not to mention the mower shouldn't be starting on it's own whatsoever unless you're priming the engine and pulling the cord, otherwise you've got bigger problems than just replacing a belt.
I did actually manage to remove the spark plug. But before I did that, I had to drain the fuel tank and remove it. How handy. Sure, leave the spark plug connected. Don’t unplug the toaster before you work on it because what fool would actually push down the handle while you’re working on the toaster. This theory must work on wood chippers as well.
