I started with Pickup Music 10 months ago. I was 47 at the beginning and had zero guitar experience. I loved guitar centric music, but couldn’t name the strings. And I can honestly say that Pickup Music has absolutely delivered!! I’m learning the CAGED system right now, but starting with the Beginner then Late Beginner Pathways gave me a fantastic foundation for everything that came next. They have mountains to offer for the newest or the most seasoned musicians with customized feedback and loads of support!! It feels like I’m attending Guitar University. Money very well spent!!
I have tried Justin (GREAT for beginners!), Marty Schwarz, Paul Davids, Guitar Tricks - all of them. None of them come close to Pickup Music. This platform gets you out of the rut.
I’ve just started the caged program a few days ago, and so far it’s been really fantastic and well structured, and it all seems really sustainable. I’ve taken other online courses which are of high quality, but the skill level rapidly increases, so I’m basically hyper fixated on a few of the same lessons and not really progressing through the course. So far, it seems like a great resource.
I've been going through their intermediate course and it's pretty good, I like the structure of the content and how it pushes you forward with those jams and performances at the end of the lessons and grades plus getting personalized feedback on your performance is really useful
@@yeaheimansodepends on how advanced you are but artist works, jtc guitar, truefire, and Tim pierces masterclass are all great alternatives. Tbh it’s whatever platform your favorite artist is on

It just doesn’t compare to other online guitar subscription courses. I recommend listening to the pickup music pod too
