I had one of the 4350 spread bore carbs on a 1973 Ford LDT with a 429 engine. I couldn’t talk anyone into rebuilding that carb, no matter how I bribed them! Even the Ford guys said no way!
@@robertwatkins364 They are most certainly a finicky carburetor. I used to rebuild quite a few of them in the 80's and 90's. They were not one of my favorite carbs to work on.

in 1973 it would have been the 4300D spreadbore. In 1975 the 4350 came out, which was even worse yet.
@ I just know nobody would touch it. They told me to change the intake, and carb to an after market.

Sometimes it is a matter of keeping the original carburetor on the vehicle.
