I think Hot Foot deserves a spotlight for being an obscure Mario enemy. They only inhabit a single level of Super Mario Bros 3, and act like Boos except they walk instead of flying. Their character design is hilariously simple, they’re just a flame with two feet, not even any eyes. In fact, they didn’t even have a different design in the DiC cartoon, which is pretty unique considering DiC never adhered to the character designs of any other Mario character at all.
Most obscure enemy is the Jammyfish from Galaxy & Galaxy 2. These guys freaked me out as a kid and I didn't even know they were an enemy until I swam into one. You have to hit them with 3 shells before they strobe-light out and explode. Strange yet memorable.
I keep saying it, the Jellyfish from Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, not the small white ones, the big blue one that turns green when you hit it with a shell and dies when hitting it with a 2nd shell.
Out of the 10 enemies mentioned in the list, I remembered the Wind Spirit & the Trouter. Also, the Trouter has appeared in not only SMB2/SMU but also the cartoons
Surprised that the snailicorn wasn't on either of these lists. A very weird looking enemy that only appears in one level of New Super Mario Bros. DS, in world 5. They are impervious to jumping and fire, but can be defeated with a koopa shell, the blue shell, star, or megashroom
there is a type of goomba in super Mario land everyone confuses as the real goomba the goombo it’s essentially just the goomba but round with smaller eyebrows you know, the sub-goombas are all nuts while the og is a fungus
8:40 “meh, you could get there. 8:43 “HOLY SH*T bro you could’ve have told me ahead of time to get a cup of coffee like Gosh damn bro I can serve a 10 year sentence in prison before you hit him
when will my boy bowser's brother (or blue bowser) is gonna make an appearance hes the random bowser u find in the middle of D-4 of smb: the lost levels, and the only recognition he gets is 1 yt video
Funny story, when I first saw Inky Piranha Plant, I actually guessed his name would be that. Believe me, I was shocked when I got the guide for SM3DL and found that my guess was indeed correct!
"To get to the weak point, though, you're going to have to wait for it to shoot some goombas down and capture them to create an EPIC tower" Or you could just jump on it because of Mario Odysseys ridiculous movement options, especially on Darker Side where you can long jump off the platform that reaches higher than Yufoe and is literally right there (you climb up the platform to get to the section where you climb on poles across lava)
what about the snailicorns from that one ice level in super mario bros ds. in world 5, in one of the secret levels i wanna say you encounter like, 3 of them, and thats it... after that level you never see them again...
I just did some research and there are three of them. They are on the beach in Pinna Park. I believe they appear in either mission 5 or 6 They are easily missable
Unlike these enemies they don't have a course dedicated specifically to them. They're actually a very memorable enemy from that game to me probably because of that course.
8:25 talk about bad timing. I just finished Odyssey yesterday. You gotta beat the first two of these for stars, and the third is the first thing you see in Darker Side. It's burned into my mind.
Another obscure enemy would be the little guys that attack you when you pull the skate thingies out of the dragon boss in mario odyssey. Theyre so obscure that theyre not even on the list!
Here’s a weird one The Anuboo is an enemy that appears in teehee valley in superstar saga and it’s remake And they only appear after you defeat trunkle The thing is is that there is no practical reason to go back to teehee valley unless you forgot to get the warp to little fungitown Also another fun fact The mecha chomp is the only enemy in superstar saga to not appear in the remake
Also if we are counting variants of enemies than the guardian shroob in partners in time is probably the strangest of all variants They are white shroobs found in the shroob mothership ( a relatively short area you can’t go back to) and behave almost exactly the same as the shroob trio boss in Bowsers Inside Story
I play mario games all the time and I also play them every day and night and I hope you have a lovely merry Christmas 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🤶🤶🤶🤶🤶🤶🤶🤶🤶🤶🤶🤶🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🎅🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🤶🎅🎅🎅🤶🎅🎅🎅
Yeah I know, mixing Galoombas with Goombrats, 2 fancy species/breed of goomba, and yeah, although they called it Goombud, if I were Nintendo I would just call 'em Galoombrats, ah/oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
What is that thing with the 4 dots on in the thumbnail? As far as I know, that isn't a Mario enemy. It's an absolute shocker to see in the thumbnail, as it doesn't fit the cartoony style of Super Mario Bros.
I never knew that they weren't called disco waffles. In fact, I refuse to accept any name for them, other than disco waffles. The other versions of them can be roto-whatevers, but the main variants are disco waffles. Just had to get that off of my chest. Anyway, thank you for the video.
Check out Dying Light TODAY! - wehy.pe/y/2/Nicobbq
Why
Check out grindel he is obscure
Do a update of your game collection
Merry Christmas Nico
Hey nico
When you find these enemies
How do you know their names
I think Hot Foot deserves a spotlight for being an obscure Mario enemy. They only inhabit a single level of Super Mario Bros 3, and act like Boos except they walk instead of flying. Their character design is hilariously simple, they’re just a flame with two feet, not even any eyes. In fact, they didn’t even have a different design in the DiC cartoon, which is pretty unique considering DiC never adhered to the character designs of any other Mario character at all.
They actually appear again in the final Bowser's castle and perhaps another fortress. I didn't know they were an enemy until they started chasing me!
They should get a spot in the next Obscure Enemy list
I honestly do not get why Nintendo called the SMW goombrats “goombuds” and not “galoombrats” to go with the naming scheme of the galoombas.
Most obscure enemy is the Jammyfish from Galaxy & Galaxy 2. These guys freaked me out as a kid and I didn't even know they were an enemy until I swam into one. You have to hit them with 3 shells before they strobe-light out and explode. Strange yet memorable.
I find roto disc pretty memorable, I would definitely put eye beamer at number 1.
:)
"You know what else is obscure? ...the *popular* game..."
Wait, hol' up.
I keep saying it, the Jellyfish from Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, not the small white ones, the big blue one that turns green when you hit it with a shell and dies when hitting it with a 2nd shell.
Man when one of my favorite obscure Mario enemies get made into merch form is always extremely exciting for me!
I recall the inky pirahna plant appears in M&L Dream team as a background enemy.
Nico it is a crime that you don’t have a million subscribers yet!
2:49 Sushi also appears in a mic minigame in Mario Party 7, but that doesn't help it much in being a memorable Mario enemy.
Wow , I never truly knew the names of these enemies. Quite interesting if I do say so myself .
Most of the names for these guys can be found on Mario Wikia, Mario Kart Wikia, Yoshi Wikia, (on Fandom) and several others.
Out of the 10 enemies mentioned in the list, I remembered the Wind Spirit & the Trouter. Also, the Trouter has appeared in not only SMB2/SMU but also the cartoons
According to Nathaniel, Roto-Disc is a radioactive waffle
What, wich video did you get they from?!
@@tobi_play3802 Mario Bros 3 without touching any blocks. That's the video he said that in.
Surprised that the snailicorn wasn't on either of these lists. A very weird looking enemy that only appears in one level of New Super Mario Bros. DS, in world 5. They are impervious to jumping and fire, but can be defeated with a koopa shell, the blue shell, star, or megashroom
It was in the video before this one this video is part 2 in a series
I never forgot Inky Piranha Plant! He's one of my fave Piranha Plants! And I love Pirahna Plants!
In Mario Party 2's Pirate Land, if you land on certain spaces, Sushi will ferry you to another part of the board.
Bulber might be my favorite enemy in this video. Give bulber more love Nintendo!
I really like the Bulber too. I think they should use it more. (Hey and they were seen in Piranha Plant Cove in both MK 8 Deluxe BCP and in Tour.
Sushi actually turned into a kart in Mario Kart Tour
2:10: "As You Jump In This Blue, Goopy Wall, You See Wario's Giant Head Cashing You Down!"
Their waffle like pattern is why some people call them "disco waffles" just because... well--- that's exactly what they look like
there is a type of goomba in super Mario land everyone confuses as the real goomba
the goombo
it’s essentially just the goomba but round with smaller eyebrows
you know, the sub-goombas are all nuts while the og is a fungus
No not him
Nico: talks about wind spirt
Also Nico: doesn’t even mention the Strolling Stew
Sushis the best he needs a standalone game featuring bulber
8:40 “meh, you could get there.
8:43 “HOLY SH*T bro you could’ve have told me ahead of time to get a cup of coffee like Gosh damn bro I can serve a 10 year sentence in prison before you hit him
Sushi was also in Blooper Beach in Mario Party 9
Had absolutely no idea that there was an enemy in Mario Sunshine called the Wind Spirit.
Gotta love our boy Eye Beamer!!!!!
You Forgot A Enemy Named...
The Guy Shows You Fun.
The Wario Apparation
4:38 Since when could you blow to clean the ink? This is my first time hearing about this. I learn something new every day
I can’t forget Roto disc he’s my 7th favorite mario character thank you for including him
when will my boy bowser's brother (or blue bowser) is gonna make an appearance
hes the random bowser u find in the middle of D-4 of smb: the lost levels, and the only recognition he gets is 1 yt video
Fun Fact: Inky piranha plant also appears in Mario&Luigi Dream team
Funny story, when I first saw Inky Piranha Plant, I actually guessed his name would be that. Believe me, I was shocked when I got the guide for SM3DL and found that my guess was indeed correct!
"To get to the weak point, though, you're going to have to wait for it to shoot some goombas down and capture them to create an EPIC tower"
Or you could just jump on it because of Mario Odysseys ridiculous movement options, especially on Darker Side where you can long jump off the platform that reaches higher than Yufoe and is literally right there (you climb up the platform to get to the section where you climb on poles across lava)
The ink piranha plants also appear in Mario Kart Tour's Bangkok Rush
what about the snailicorns from that one ice level in super mario bros ds. in world 5, in one of the secret levels i wanna say you encounter like, 3 of them, and thats it... after that level you never see them again...
4:25 that little guy makes an appearance in Mario and Luigi dream team. But it's sad that he doesn't get reused a lot more than other enemies
Swipin Stu from Mario Sunshine? Only two of them in the game and you can bypass them easily without even seeing them.
I just did some research and there are three of them. They are on the beach in Pinna Park. I believe they appear in either mission 5 or 6 They are easily missable
Merry Christmas Nico
I’m surprised that fliprus was not on here considering they were only in 1 level in New super Mario bros u
Unlike these enemies they don't have a course dedicated specifically to them. They're actually a very memorable enemy from that game to me probably because of that course.
True because the level is called fliprus lake
Sushi Back in Mario Kart Tour as a Kart called Sushi Racer
Merry Christmas everyone including you nico
5:40 I completely forgot this jellyfish enemies existed but I remember the Bulber.
Merry Christmas Nicobbq
Goombud is basically a mixture between galoomba and goombrat
That's exactly what it is.
8:25 talk about bad timing. I just finished Odyssey yesterday. You gotta beat the first two of these for stars, and the third is the first thing you see in Darker Side. It's burned into my mind.
Sushi are in more games than you think just not enough levels.
can you please put the sponcers at the end of the video
Merry christmas nicobbq
3:00 nico forget his grammar class !
I still remember the Inky Piranha Plant
I always thought that Roto-Discs were radioactive waffles and that's not even a joke
10:52 your not alone, I call those waffle discs.
Sushi if i dont' wrong appear even in Mario party 9
When you talked about obscure ghosts, I thought you were talking about Peepas haha
Funny how in both Obscure Enemies lists, the number one spots are taken by enemies from Mario Sunshine
4:39 I have beaten World Crown,yet I didn't knew about that
I didn't know either
Inky Piranha Plants aren't in Super Mario 3D World, unless there's a World Crown in Super Mario 3D Land that I'm unaware of.
@@harrybest2041 Sorry,I meant to say whatever the equivalent of World Crown is in SM3DL
At least I remember some of these enemies, unlike the last one
The Goombuds are MM2SMW's version of Goombrats just like how Galoombas are SMW's Goombas
Another obscure enemy would be the little guys that attack you when you pull the skate thingies out of the dragon boss in mario odyssey. Theyre so obscure that theyre not even on the list!
Can you do the most obscure Mario partners
Wherever it be
Mario enemy’s
Mario allies
Pixels
Or any partner he has
Here’s a weird one
The Anuboo is an enemy that appears in teehee valley in superstar saga and it’s remake
And they only appear after you defeat trunkle
The thing is is that there is no practical reason to go back to teehee valley unless you forgot to get the warp to little fungitown
Also another fun fact
The mecha chomp is the only enemy in superstar saga to not appear in the remake
Also if we are counting variants of enemies than the guardian shroob in partners in time is probably the strangest of all variants
They are white shroobs found in the shroob mothership ( a relatively short area you can’t go back to) and behave almost exactly the same as the shroob trio boss in Bowsers Inside Story
6:23 Correction: The Bee Eater’s official name is actually Spiny Stretch Plant. Just thought I’d point it out
I was searching obscure Mario enemies to just find Roto-disc for once and I did it
I knew all of them and knew the names of most of them
Didn't know these platforms had an eye under in dreadnought galaxy 😂
0:20 I hope these characters, the karts and the track (background) were included in Mario Kart Tour... 😢😢
MORE PLS I LOVE THIS VIDEOS
Merry Christmas
11:06 I'd think of Peepas more than Luigi's Mansion ghosts.
Literally everyone remembers the roto disc
I’m sorry nico but I remembered every enemy expect the bee eater thing. LOL
I just call number 5 an onion & continue on my day when I make my smm2 levels
the most obscure has to be the talking slab of concrete in Mario 64
Merry Christmas everyone
Quite an obscure gift...
Merry Christmas everyone!
I've played Odyssey, and I cannot remember ever fighting a yoofoe.
They’re optional enemies, but if you played the final challenge level you should at least see one
I've never heard of any of them except the mario odyssey one
I knew about Inky Piranha Plant, Bulber, Goombud, YooFoe and Roto-Disc.
I never knew that the weird thing from Odyssey has a name, lol.
I'm surprised that people didn't know anything about YooFoe if they've played Super Mario Odyssey.
hey guys can we get some f's in the chat for our boi sushi?
#sushi lives matter :/
F
the bee eater on r/weeatbees
You can't do SMS on the Switch unless you previously got it.
What about the bouncing waterball in Mario 64?
Roto disc aka the epic good disco waffle of doom
who would have thought that the wind spirit was secretly william afton this whole time
i knew all of the obscure enemies except goombud and wind spirit
there should be a goompa loompa XD
Nah man those disks look like waffles
Yeah I know, mixing Galoombas with Goombrats, 2 fancy species/breed of goomba, and yeah, although they called it Goombud, if I were Nintendo I would just call 'em Galoombrats, ah/oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Roto-Discs are called cookies in the german verson of Super Mario Bros 3.
(For some reason)
How do you record 3DS gameplay in 1080/720p? How is it so smooth?
What is that thing with the 4 dots on in the thumbnail? As far as I know, that isn't a Mario enemy. It's an absolute shocker to see in the thumbnail, as it doesn't fit the cartoony style of Super Mario Bros.
I did not know that Sushi existed

I already forgot number 9 by the end of the video
Who could forget the onctoomba?
I love obscure mario enemies
