I wish UA-cam had existed in 1984 at the height of my childhood 🔐 obsession. Seeing this video makes me 😥 wistful for two specific locks that I acquired that Christmas.
Always a pleasure to watch you picking, thank you for sharing 👍
Thanks for your kind words :-)
Neat looking locks. Luv the older ones . Much better looking than todays locks.😎
Yes, they look really nice :-)
Great looking locks of character to use for this demonstration. Nicely explained. Thanks for sharing your locks Don'z
Thanks for watching.
Nice old locks 👍 It makes some sense that both wheels of the combination lock were binding at the same time as probably the shackle wobbles a bit and you, of course, basically pulled on both sides of the shackle. Thanks for sharing these interesting locks 👍
Glad you liked it. Cheers :-)
Donz locks buy some very interesting locks, thanks for showing Them My friend :)

@@Potti314 okay cool, thanks for letting me know my friend. :)
cool locks
:-)
Can you ask me a question? There is any key that open boxes like the blue box that you show in other videos?
Yes, try-out-keys (also named jiggler keys).
Interesting old "cool" locks -- Now what's Don's Locks gonna do wit them now that you have picked them?
He's a collector - he will put them on display and look at the looks.
Hi pottie I've got a problem I'm hoping you can give me some advice on I bought a yale rim cylinder lock with the key it worked fine I picked it and locked it now I can't get the key in and I can't pick it have you got any idea what I need to do to get it working again thanks for any information you can give me jimm
If you cannot get a key in, then I assume that a pin got stuck. Try tapping the lock with a plastic hammer or handle of a screwdriver from all sides (also spray lubricant into the keyway and wiggle the plug with a tensioner) and see if you can get the pin loose. Can you open the bible? Sometimes there is a plate. This way you could gut the lock and see what's wrong.
More forcefully you could try to carefully drive in the key with a hammer (as last resort).
@@Potti314 OK thanks potti I will give that a try thanks for your help jimm
Fantastic that worked thanks very much potti
