Just checked with the latest MegaAGS image, it works the same as with the other games, I verified that the saves work as long as you use the Quit key after saving (Delete key by default). Remember to use the game’s save function *before* hitting the Quit key.
I tried that but nothing.I finish the first mission then quiet using the delete key.then I start the gam again but nothing I have to start from the beginning?
Thank you for posting this, I just used the latest MiniMig MegaAGS file which only had 4 minimig files to copy to config but it all still worked. I still have all my original amigas plus some more and the Mister performs exactly how I remember the original hardware. MiSTer has been so amazing. My 2000 was pretty rough (Adrian Black repaired it over on ADB) so this core is the best thing!
Thanks for this video! I rescued some memories from when I was a kid. My uncle had one and the Amiga was really ahead of its time. Amazing colors and multichannel stereo sound when PCs were still beeping and having 256 color VGA graphics.
Thanks for giving the Amiga some love. I was an Amiga user from 1988 'til 1993. There are so many gems. I bought the MiSTer almost entirely for the sake of the Minimig core. It's the one Amiga I will never sell 🥰
At the time this was a big reason for me getting a MiSTer system (Atari ST too) I have a real A1200 but getting it out and setting it up, playing and then having to pack it all away due to space was such a chore, plus its pricey to update with extra ram and hdd's so MiSTer although a limited core is far better than a base model and works so well and a lot easier than messing around with winuae which I have done using pimiga. Minimig keeps things simple and is so much less hassle if you just want to play the games especially with something like megaAGS.

A friend always had the latest tech so I did experience a bit of dos. I can see why you do the same as I have played a few games via ao486 and it works well. Enjoy delving into some more amiga games as theres a fair few that were better on amiga than pc at the time.
I love this MiniMig core, and I thought for a while that Rod-land was a bit faulty with the controls.... I couldn't get any button to generate the ladders. I just found out that you have to press shoot+Up or shoot+Down to do then. All is well. I love this game

yes! I have always passed on trying amiga on my pi3/pi4 emulation station/retropie installations... but this looks amazing. I do recognize a lot of these from my Sega Genesis... But these look and sound better. Keep recommending stuff great video

Chaos Engine is one if my favourite games on any system! It’s great in every way, and a blast in two player. Listening to this video, maybe the settings you use make it go some percentage faster than regular? Been a while since I last played it, but the sampled speech sounds a bit fast..?

How old is the megaags? I set up my miga with the help of the pez video a while back, so i am definitely mostly good, but i found at least one game with a bug :)
A lot of the games in the MegaAGS pack are PAL. Is there anything that I can do in the core to get it running on my ntsc crt? They all run well on my lcd monitor but I can only get a select few(for example the broderbund games) running on my crt without a scrolling flicker effect. Thanks :)
Ok I figured it out. When you load the minimig core scroll down to options then select 'Force NTSC' then just go back and select youre game. Gotta do this everytime you load another game or reboot tho
1 year later.... I wonder though... Why is it not combined? The FPGA HW emulation and software CPU emulation? like a fast ARM CPU for emulating MC68??K CPU/FPU and an FPGA for specific hardware / custom chips That would be like a standard Amiga with CPU acceleration card? I do not know if: it is possible, would be better, and the end price point, but why not?

Ease of use I find MiSTer infinitely easier to setup. For that reason alone I prefer it. Emulation isn’t bad though. Just diff ways to achieve a similar result
Great video m8, but as a long time fan of the amiga and c64 i am happy to see chaos Engine and turrican on here 💪great games,but most games where made for a500 68000 7,14mhz 512kb chip+512 slow ram ocs/ecs chipset the core is great and Will do most but it is not a replacement of the real hardware its just not good enough and to be honest the amiga is not really for gaming it allways was the demoscene but there are great games here like lemmings,world,speedball2 and many more and yes 50hz is where its at on amiga thx for the video m8 i enjoy Them very much and sf2 alpha is still the best 💪💪🤣🤣

This has been replaced with AmigaVision as of December 25 2023. Same basic concept, just a more updated package. It's on archive. I wish the ao486 was taken as seriously. It's unfortunately a wreck compared to Amiga cores.

Amiga is certainly great with 240p pvm or with any crt. But the best display for Amiga is 14" Commodore or Philips crt monitors from the 80's with rgb.

Wheel driver is part of the MiSTer OS so it will just “be there”. I’ll have to watch the video and see what you mean about video playing. Going from memory it usually just goes to MegaAGS. You may see the kickstart rom screen for a few seconds before that

I don't get it. All this effort to emulate the Amiga. Whereas you can just emulate the Genesis and play almost every game that was on the Amiga, but it's better. It's like all these AmigaTards never played a Genesis

A lot of British Amiga game developers ported their work to the Genesis because it also had a 68000 and similar graphical capabilities.
The 68k was the workhorse of so many platforms. PC, console, arcade…huge lineage

It’s running at suggested settings for the MegaAGS. It’s possible it’s pivoting to NTSC 60 and the samples might be intended for PAL 50

I wouldn’t recommend a spinning drive but if you use solid state should be fine
