When the Padres or any team can't hit a pitcher with an ERA over 4.0 (and that's exactly what's happened throughout this losing streak by the Padres-- they've gone completely cold while facing the back end of pitching), that's rather serious inconsistency.
And inconsistent is the name of this team. No one can ever say just what they'll do.
It's like they ran out of energy reserves and just tanked.
Schwellenbach has had great stuff throughout his tenure with Atlanta. He's learning with each outing, getting better and better every time out.
Tbf, Schwellenbach's ERA is high bc of his first couple starts as a rookie pitcher against the Orioles and Redsox...over the last 4ish games he's pitched, he's got around a 2.6 ERA

Olson and Reily were terrible for a huge stretch. It's been a weird year. Arcia isn't the only one that has been struggling. Also, he's been fine on defense.
Awesome win to start out the series. Really amazing performance from Schwellenbach with 7 innings 1 run, maybe his best outing of the year at the MLB level. Bullpen was great great with Jimenez and Lee. A good game for the offense with a homer from Arcia and not one but two homers homers for Ozuna, just an outstanding season from him so far, they both had great games along with Duvall. Really nice win once again, Lopez on the mound tomorrow, let’s go braves #ForTheA

It helped that the charges were dropped after the investigation, but his great performance started with plate discipline...seemed he could finally focus on baseball again
