- Cher has filed for a conservatorship over her 47-year-old son, Elijah Blue Allman, due to a fear that he is not fit to manage his own finances, according to multiple reports.

Again, just like she said, the media and, that of the public can be quick to assume and, act like a bunch of bullies and, act if they know more than, that celebrity is telling as if we all know what’s going on in their private lives, which we really don’t know the full story but, than again just because, a celebrity’s eye is in the public it isn’t our place to know every single ounce of their business, they will tell people what they want to know! Aka/ if it doesn’t concern you or has anything to do with you,than, quit being concerned with someone else’s business! There is a old saying, in Which Charlie Rich Wrote a Song About, No One Knows What Goes On Behind Closed Doors and, short Celebrities Are Entitled To Their Private Lives Just like you and me, because, they are Human Beings First!

Just goes to show you all the money and fame can’t save your kids. Being in their life and not having Nannie’s may help. I don’t know. I was a poor single mom of 3 all adults now. All have great jobs, loyal to their wives own home’s and never been on drugs. Just saying

My heart goes out to Cher. Anyone dealing with a drug addicted child understands what she is going through. And with her fortune she is the best person to manage his finances, at least you know she’s not looking to profit from the conservatorship like someone else would, for example his ex-wife. Why would the soon to be ex care where Elijah is if she is divorcing him? I hope Cher is successful in her legal request for conservatorship. Drug addiction will kill, steal, and destroy everything in its path.
The ex likely was an enabler and user herself and Cher taking control of his money means her gravy train and free drugs are going bye bye. You can see in the photos that she's high as a kite. She wants him to keep supporting their drug habit. Cher doesn't need his money, she's got a net worth of over 350 million dollars.

I haven't really been a fan of Cher's but I AM NOW. I have a 31 year old son struggling and I am going to have to do the same with him if my son doesn't recover. You go Cher! You have my total support. You are a super mom for being strong enough to fight the demons that will consume your son's life.
Get your son to take ayahuasca or just use DMT if you can't find ayahuasca. Its not addictive and has the strange ability to stop addiction. He probably won't fight you on it because it's technically a drug. Do your own research but if all else fails, try it to save your son. It's not a miracle cure because he'll still need some psychological counseling for his issues but at least he won't be a drug addict

You have no clue who Cher is as a person or as a mother. No one should be allowed to take control over someone else. We are all free to make our choices. They have to want to get help or they will find a way to use. Allowing people full control over another human is supporting abuse.

I have worked with Cher in Vegas. she is a wonderful person and I wish her family well.
This is sad, but it appears necessary for his well-being. It’s also sad that Cher has to deal with this. I’m sure she would just like to be able to enjoy her life and have her son be doing well and enjoying his life.

This is what I should have done for my adult child. She had depression and addicted to a certain drug. She was on SSI and went to a recovery program. Recieved a couple cerificates on her recovery. Was so proud of her. However, she wanted to bail out of living at a recovery apartment and wanted to be home with me. Forward a few months later she moved into an apartment with a bf who was also recovering she was still managing her own finances. I had a feeling I should do more about her situation. One day her boyfriend came home and found my daughter laying on the floor OD. She passed away. Im crying as Im typing this. I should have requeasted to do this lime cher did. I feel I failed her.
There was no way you could have known what would happen. You did the best you could with knowledge you had at the time. Hindsight is 20/20, we all wish we could do something different after the fact, If we knew then what we know now. You loved her and did what you could with the knowledge you had. Take heart, I am sure it's hard. I am so sorry for the loss of your previous daughter.

Don't hurt yourself by thinking you could have saved her life. Please sadly addiction is inside the brain its brain health and it's almost impossible to beat. Please don't hurt yourself emotionally thinking that you could have watched your daughter 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Throughout the rest of your life to keep her living. If only we were all mind readers, but you don't know what you don't know. You did the best you could with the information you had at that time. Perhaps as a healing process and legacy to your daughter you can become a mother mentor to other young struggling addicted adults at these rehab facilities. Please don’t beat yourself up. Although your daughter is no longer here, she’s no longer in pain and the throes of addiction. You gave her life and you stood by her during her recovery process. Unfortunately, relapse is also a part of recovery. Keep ya head up, you did what you could. You couldn’t be with her every second of the day.
And this concerns the public because... ? Let these people deal with their s**t privately.
Elijah doesn't want to end up like his dad....Gregg battled heroin addiction for years and had 2 liver transplants. Thankfully he has a mom like Cher, who never battled addiction of drugs or alcohol. It's sad she has to deal with this at her age.

His estranged wife is thought to be a bad influence on Elijah's mental health and drug use. From what I've surmised is that "Queenie" claims to be destitute and needs money from him. I have no idea what's really going on but I believe that Cher loves her children beyond measure and is taking the necessary steps in protecting Elijah. She's a down to earth woman who has always had her head screwed on straight. I hope Elijah doesn't end up like his father.

His ex looks like an evil person...who wasn't gud at all for this human being...and I think ...Cher..as his mother...should indeed get a conservatorship.. n bring her son into a private rehab.... get him clean once n for all... isolated of everything for some time besides her n close family.... until her son is clean and self confident to recognize who only gets close to him coz of his money and recognizes who is NO GOOD for him at all.

Guess what...we as parents are part of the reason our kids choose who they do as a mate/partner- for good or bad reasons... the relationships they see us model affect who they are & the character or lack thereof in who they choose to be with

Addiction is often an intergenerational condition, and unfortunately Elijah Blue's father suffered from addiction as well.
I trust Cher to do the right thing by her son, Elijah. As a woman who was dominated by others most of her young life, she knows what it is like to be 'under the thumb' of someone else, so she would never do something like this unless it was needed to ensure his safety and life.

It's difficult to obtain concervatiship...especially if you're poor. You are essentially taking someone's rights away...that being said...its the only way you can force medication. If your child has a mental illness, like schizophrenia, one of the hallmarks is non-med compliance. They absolutely need medication to function, they cannot care for themselves and are often a danger to society & themselves when in psychosis. Until you face the challenges of treatment for the mentally ill, our country is in for a world of hurt.

Cher is an amazing woman and mother, of course she wants the best for him. In old interviews when she talks about him it seems he's always been a wild kid and she has had her fair share of frustration over his behaviour. His dad was an addict, we know that crap often runs in the family. Wishing them all the best.

But some people discover they have the brains and inclinations of the opposite gender, as Chastity did. Cher was a great mom, and sad to let her "little girl" become a man. As for Elijah, Cher should have known better than to have a child with such a druggie as Greg Allman.. That's an inherited condition, and it was obvious the son was fighting his father's demons, even at an early age.

I am so sorry that this is happening. I do not wish drug addiction on any family. It’s horrible to see your kid on a train that you know is going to crash and there is nothing that you can do but watch it happen and be there to pick up the pieces if there are any. One good thing is that she has the means to get him help and to pick up the pieces. My prayers are going out to Cher, her son and all family members.
My cousin and others went into a crackhouse and dragged her brother physically out of there ! And from there she put him in rehab program ! Unfortunately he went right back to doing drugs ! Am glad that she is trying to protect her child !

Cher is a smart and loving person. She wouldn’t have made this decision if not absolutely necessary. Since the Britney debacle, the word “conservatorship” has a negative connotation and rightfully so, but in this case it seems very appropriate and let’s hope that we see a positive and very different outcome.

It’s strange. Judging from Britney’s book, I’d say her conservatorship was a total waste of time, a form of abuse, and did more damage than good. Then I see her instagram page and I am like “wait a minute… this is NOT the same Britney who wrote/published a book three our four months ago.” Was her conservatorship necessary? I dunno… Do I think the right person, her father, was in charge of it? Hell no!

I read that Greg Allman, Elijah’s father died from liver cancer, not anything drug related as you’ve mentioned.

It's a good idea if you have legitimate concerns and I'm sure Cher does. Too many stars families hesitate with disastrous results. They would rather be a friend than a parent. Step up and do the safe thing before it's too late.

It’s been said Elijah Blue has had issues very similar to what his dad, Gregg Allman had. It was only a matter of time before Cher could do what needed to be done.
I’ve seen several incidences where a sober person keeps another person who is particularly vulnerable to using drugs and/or alcohol. Keep them as a meal ticket that is…. Now with fentanyl out there looking like cocaine or heroin…..people watch your step, remain vigilant, keep an eye on your drink

Elijah said something once with me & some friends that was VERY concerning about what I took as TRAUMA. If I ever would have met Cher I'd have told her, but she was in London at the time. He was such a SMART & kool guy! I pray for therapy for him & things not dealt with. 😞 Xxo
This is sad. Parents should not interfere with an adult child. If they are using the money that youre give to them for their substance abuse, stop giving them money.
