Teddie has a solid character arc in line with the game's theme of finding the truth - the entire game, teddie is searching for the truth of who he is and why he exists. When he finds out that he is just a shadow, this revelation combined with nanako's "death" causes him to have an existential crisis so severe that he actually stops existing for a bit. Only when yu finds him in the velvet room does he start to realize that him being a shadow isn't a bad thing, something that's confirmed later when he reveals this to the rest of the team and none of them care because they already like teddie as a person. Teddie found and accepted the truth of who he is - in other words, *the entire point of the game*
I'm most impressed by the amount of editing it would take to do this shot-for-shot match of the original. She didn't have to go that hard, but she did. She did that for us.
