  • You could argue that Jamaal Charles is a hall of famer. And he might be. However, he sadly couldn't stay healthy. If he did, then he certainly could have been a first ballot HOF. Regardless, Jamaal is the best running back in Chiefs history (sorry Priest). He's also personally my favorite player. On behalf of all of ChiefsKingdom...THANK YOU, JAMAAL.

Charles may not have the the overall rushing numbers like some of the other greats do but man when you put on that tape there is no denying he is one of the most talented RBs to ever lace them up.

Only the true chief fans understand this loss. We were very bad for a lot of years but this dude was the heart of the team, he put the team on his back. i will never forget as a 12 year old kid waking up on sundays and putting my on my 25 jersey with all the pride in the world to be a chief fan. this dude has a head on his shoulders and is a great football player. i always idolized him and tried to learn how to run the ball from him. he will be forever missed, thankyou jamaal. Kinda brought a tear to my eye but it's important to note we didn't accomplish anything with him on the team. He was mostly not good in the clutch against good teams and he had a lot of drops and fumbles at crucial moments. He was fun to watch, however. Priest is still the best I've seen in a Chiefs uniform but his career also got sidetracked by injuries.

my favorite nfl player ever. Jamaal had the deadliest combination of perfect vision of field/olympic sprinter speed. Touchdown threat whenever he had the ball in his hands because of it. He even maintained that speed through changing direction and jukes. However, even though his strongest skillset were those two things, he was also decent at plowing over defenders if he needed to. He was an amazing route runner and receiver for a RB also. And he could block well (not many people talk about that).
makes me sad to think about how historic his numbers were, despite a career plagued by a terrible offense/offensive line/quarterback play over the years. Give me Jamaal Charles in his prime for one year with Mahomes and company and we are talking record setting offensive numbers for decades or more to come

Dude was a monster bro, if he had good teams he had the potential to be the GOAT, im a cowboys fan, but him and AP were my favorite players. Charles was different though, his skills as a reciever were like no other RB, not even a debate. CMC the only one close to his kinda skill, but the speed of charles qas unreal to watch, no loss of speed when he changed direction. The football gods are unfair at times, and this was one of thise moments

I can't watch the injuries. I saw both live and to this day it hurts me. If it wasn't for those he would still be a Chief.... :(

Imagine how much more unfair the Chiefs would be with J.Charles in the backfield, he can still play I PROMISE 💪 Greatest RB in Chiefs History and still the best to do in the League in my opinion averaging 5+ yards a carry in his entire career!!

@Eli Benda for real, he was the oline and shook linemen and backers and everybody else on his way to the zone of 6!!

That game vs the chargers where he took the hit and another game in 2013 vs the cowboys represented him as a running back small in stature maybe not a break tackle back but definetly tough as nails he will forever be remembered as the heart and soul of the chiefs team he made me proud to be a chiefs fan every time he would run the ball I saw his blazing speed and wanted to be as fast as him yard after yard carry after carry and touchdown after touchdown he will be one of the greatest players in chiefs history

Charles. From special Olympics to all pro. Truly inspirational, and the highest YPC average of any running back, I believe 5.5 YPC, with a at the time bad team.

Man if this guy stayed healthy and had a coach who believed in him from the beginning, he could have been the greatest! What a peak! One of the all time greats HOF or not.

Without a doubt one of the greatest players to ever put on a Chiefs uniform. Sad that his career here in KC fizzled out after that second knee injury. Hope to see you in the Ring of Honor some day, man. :(
