Same mechanic shop had repaired my bike too, where carburettor was leaking petrol from Delhi. In leaky carburettor i was riding till Kargil and it got stopped. He fixed it and removed almost 2 liters of petrol from the overflow tank in bullet. No words, I still remember this guy. Very thank full to him. This happened 4 years ago.
First advice Change your rider friend. second advice do what your heart says Third advice Never take chances on mountains because mountains don't give chance
Brother I've seen your bike drowning video... It was devastating... You knew it was too much for you and your bike... But because of totally wrong advise from your fellow rider this happened... He advised you wrong .. and also was too late to help you when you were inside the water.... We also face such situations in our offroad trails ... But co-riders have to be extremely fast and wise in emergency situations... Ride with more wise people.
That guy also repaired my friends pulsar 180 10 days ago, when travelling Rangdum to Kargil.local mechanic in kargil can't find the problem.but luckily he passes that time on his bullet.and 15seconds me gari thik kar di. and he also said a line that I never forgot.. "Dane Dane me likha hai khane wale ka naam..

Your is a genuine video which shows what a rider should do and what not, which advise to take and which to ignore. Don't react to people comments as they have no idea of the real situation and problems you went thru at that moment and its aftereffects. In this situation gagan was wrong he advised you to go ahead even though he was having cb 500x which have high capacity to cross offroad, he didn't go first and when you were down he was not that much quick to help you... If gagan didn't give you that advise you and your bike will be in good shape and memories of ladakh of yours will be good

It was clear that the route u took to cross over the river was deeper. Areas where u can see pebbles and stones, where the river seems more aggressive is still better than a calm river, though both are dangerous to cross over...
Should have used old oil inorder to flush the engine would have saved u the money spent on the new oil used which went waste. Had faced this issue when my bike was submerged in water for 7 days during Mumbai floods and that's the solution we learnt after having wasted 5 liters of fresh oil only to have it turn milky when drained 😔
