    I enjoyed your video. You explained everything very well and I appreciate how you have several methods of backup in case of the unexpected. You'll have many successful gigs no doubt!

    Depending on the situation you’re in for your gigs. If you need more than 24 inputs, then I would recommend a board with faders which would make your life easier but if budget or space is limited than understand why you need to mixers, but the UI 24 can be linked to a second UI 24 to double your inputs in Cascade mode so you would have two matching units and operate with only one source on your device and not two, I would highly suggest looking into a better Wi-Fi router, I used to use TPLX 50 with Wi-Fi six and create a hidden SSI ID to help with traffic but I later upgraded with a UniFi system from ubiquity if you have the budget

      Indeed I have two pcs Ui24 units meanwhile. But the second one I have is still only pure back-up. If I would use a second Ui24 as extension I actually would need a 3rd one for backup. For the moment the system works fine for all the gigs I’m doing.
      I have upgraded my rack to a 12HE wooden rack meanwhile, so two slots are free. But most probably I will invest into a decent IEM system next for having a wireless PFL-listening solution.
      Thanks for the proposal with Wi-Fi. I will check into that.

    based on experience you only face issues when you use the onboard wifi router. I really recommend using a reliable external router. I can assure you won't face any problems. You could also daisy chain 2 ui24r mixers

      Well - I have two units of ui24.. but for the moment I wouldn’t use them together in a daisy-chain because it would cost me a third unit for backup.
      So still using xr18 as submixer. For the moment that does work out and always keep the second ui24 as spare with me

      I wonder if you have two connected ui24 they give you a total of 16 mono AUX outputs? or like 8 stereo AUX for IEM mixes?
      I cannot find information about AUX buses in that combined situation.

    • @jbmlp91
      @jbmlp91  8 місяців тому +1

      @@jarosawbiernacki9087 yes afaik both is possible and depends on how you route it. Expanding to 16 Aux or merge the 8 Aux‘es from both units together is both possible. I have a band which is full on in-ear but they are all fine with mono mix. So the maximum I did use was 6 Aux + 1 MTX for front-fills.

    It always troubles me when a UA-cam vid "host" says "everyone knows" about some device or setting. Or when the host is pressing a button or spinning a dial or doing something but not explaining what just happened. The truth is... not everyone knows and that is exactly why we spend time trying to figure this out. In the future, please never assume that "everyone knows."

    connect a MIDI mixer to that ipad or something, then you have a wireless remote control setup if you ditch the cables for a solid external wifi setup.

      Yes it does work. Behringer fixed their iOS app a couple of weeks ago.

    which air play receiver interface did you use?

    • @jbmlp91
      @jbmlp91  7 місяців тому +1

      It’s a OrangePi One with Shairport installed. Audio is running directly over the USB-Audio-Port into the Ui24. No analog channels wasted.

      @@jbmlp91 Can you explain to me how you managed to get the audio to channels 23/24? Which USB port did you use, USB Play, rec or I/F with hub? Is there a video showing how to do it? I didn't find this information anywhere, if you could help me I would be very grateful! Do you have a social network so I can follow your work?

      @@jbmlp91 I would like to know how you managed to access the audio via the USB port, which port did you use? USB I/F with usb hub? I would like to understand this step by step. I saw that you managed to route the signal to channels 23/24. If I understood correctly you used the orange pi sending the audio via USB, this addressing would then logically have to be via the USB I/F port then you did the DAW patching. If I'm wrong, is there a tutorial that contains step-by-step instructions so I can replicate it?

      @jbmlp91  Рік тому +1

      No I haven't had such an issue yet. Have used this setup at over 32°C temp outside.. Therefore there are slots to cool above and underneath the UI24 if you look in the video (like proposed by others already).
