This is the most incredible car wash I have ever seen in my life, I have never seen something so complicated and incredibly engineered. This is an amazing mix of genius and bizarre, I absolutely love it!
This has got to be one of the most bizarre car wash systems I have ever seen in my life! It’s interesting that the brushes are hanging on their own on the wash bay wall and then automatically picked up and connected to the machine during the wash cycle - a bit like someone manually picking up one of them brooms you get at self service jet washes.
While I understand the gimmick of the wash accessories being the spray wand and brush, I really dont understand the mitter curtain since it doesnt do much of anything aside from sliding across the roof of the car, and one segment is actually missing. Its a great idea and never knew onenof these existed, but this is a good video of it doing what its supposed to do.
@@ncautowashes2889 I would agree with that as I would think that a complex system like that would be replaced within just a few years. I think that the owner takes very good care of this machine and he probably is trying to do everything he can to keep it running good. I can see that the wash arm already had some major repair work done to it and the belts and motors sound very squeaky even though this wash is 6 years old. This wash might be replaced soon.
Kinda looks like something out of a 'Hot Wheels' toy car wash. Its like a bunch of pool noodles, a blue Tshirt, and a duster. 😄 It looks like it did a great job. It
Sure, it’s slow and highly inefficient, but let’s be honest here, THIS IS SO F-ING COOL!!! You’d think this would be a terrible idea and that it would never work-but here it is, and boy does it work!
This wash is really cool, It is very complex and I am surprised that this 6 year old Washbot still works and hasn’t been replaced with a more reliable system. I would think that this is usually broken because of how complex this system is.
This replaced a LaserWash G5 which was actually said to have been more reliable than this current system, but I guess the owner wanted to go for this IBA when he found out about it.
@@ncautowashes2889 I am glad he still has it and hasn’t replaced it with a Laserwash 360 plus yet. He might be forced too if he can’t get parts to keep this machine running.
@@arizonaelevatorsandmore2778 It probably won't be replaced for quite some time since it's located in a smaller part of the city and if the wash isn't getting much traffic (which it probably isn't) the owner wouldn't feel like replacing it. Plus the system is slightly above average at cleaning so it may have a few more years until something happens to it.
@@ncautowashes2889 That’s amazing! I also spotted a Unitec PortalTI Pay Station, which is a reliable pay station. I think that it might outlive the Carwash itself as they last for a long time. If he has to replace the car wash due to decreasing reliability, he might turn the one of the manual bays into an automatic and keep the Washbot running in the existing spot so that people can come and enjoy it as well.
@@arizonaelevatorsandmore2778 Yeah, the owner would most likely keep the pay station if he were to put a new machine in. Although, it'd cost him a lot of money to put in another brand new or even used in-bay automatic, it could increase the amount of volume this site could receive.
This surprisingly replaced a LaserWash G5, so when I didn't look close enough at the wash bay on street view, I thought the G5 was just ripped out and the wash bay was vacant until I noticed part of that side brush against the wall. This machine is designed by a company called PX machines, and they've made another IBA wash called an EcoJet. It has the similar appearance of a Belanger Saber with 2 onboard dryers that look identical to the ones used an a really old AUTEC soft cloth system.
Such a cool and symple machine. Love how the brushes are just hanging on the wall and it picks them up off the wall. Here is my issues with this machine. 1 there is no overhead brush to really clean the top of your car, and 2 the long drapping brushes do not sway side to side, they just run across the top of your car from back to front, and front to back. Fix these 2 issues and i think this would be one heck of a machine. Its very cool and so simple looking. I wonder how hard it is to program the plc for this machine as it is the brains of it. Its all about the programmable logic controller
There’s actually a top brush variant of this machine and I’ve got photos of an abandoned one at a Citgo gas station in Elon. I don’t know if any others exist right now though.
I am the owner of the wash it was designed to be different It requires minimal maintenance I’m an open book if anyone is interested in learning more I appreciate the comments
Thanks for keeping this system alive! However during my last visit to this wash, I noticed the side brush's material was replaced on the upper part of the core near the motor, but the brush itself didn't spin during the soft touch cycle. Some other small flaws I observed during the making of this video and my inside view video was the tri-foam leaking out of the manifolds during the drying and spot-free rinse passes, which have left blue spots on my car. Are those 2 issues in the process of being resolved? Also, did the G5 that used to be here have a lot of functionality problems/high maintenance costs that made you decide to replace it with this unique in-bay automatic?
@@ncautowashes2889 yes the motor needs to be reset when an electrical storm comes or someone does something really dumb going through it that. Causes the machine to pull out of the way and shut itself down.
@@ncautowashes2889 all the other issues have been resolved after 4 years we replaced a manifold on the triple foam and had to play around with it to keep it from dropping foam on cars.
