Abba was a different vibe. It was good to have them as a society. They taught a generation regardless of if they ever heard a single track by them. Future generations would have heard their sound filtered down. It's awesome to see people react to them. I grew up hearing them as a tiny baby, so I grew up with this sound as my soundtrack very literally.

Omg, well, this is my abbasolute favorite song by ABBA, (a devoted fan since 1975 (10 years old)) and your reaction to is so great and genuine, and I was soooo glad you went for a second listen and WITH the lyrics....I lost it with ``Who the hell if Fred?" I've always loved that the boys chose the name Fred.

A lot of their early stuff is really good imo, when they were finding their sound. My Mama Said, is very groovy. Watch Out is another underrated one. Love Isn't Easy too. Disillusion is amazing, based on one of Agnetha's swedish songs, just changed lyrics for the english version

You have to listen to Suzy Hang Around. The only song that Benny sings lead vocals. Also 2 from The Visitors album that really show how wonderful Fridas voice is, I Let The Music Speak & the beautiful Like An Angel Passing Through My Room. Love your ABBA reactions

Probably the next best track to Waterloo on the Album along with good tracks like Honey, honey, Hasta maniana, Dance (While the music still goes on) and Suzy Hangaround.
No up to the standard of later ABBA albums but sill some fun songs and good listens.
And don't forget Gonna sing you my love song, the only song Benny wrote the lyrics. Another great song sung by Frida.
Listen to Michael Jacksons "Smooth Criminal" and the "Mama se, mama sa mama coosa " - part! And there you have the connection to this song! ;-) But ABBA came first!
