I love I was meaning to come back and answer your question I had to really search for it today. Your experience was absolutely real at the water, well I would also suggest with that type of experience to be careful going in past your waist because the water can love you so much that I can take you somewhere else. As far as things getting better it will happen within individuals rather than an immediate change in the collective consciousness. Over thousands of years the chains will begin to look collective, but the shift will happen within a chosen few with the truth and Enlightenment must be shared with one another.
