PCDev is one of the few vloggers out there that gives honest reviews of anything theme park related. I got excited when this pop up in my notifications!
Same!! People want honesty! He will forever keep a loyal audience because of that and as expensive as Disney is people need to know what they are getting into. It’s awful when other Vloggers play off how great something is and someone goes and it’s not

Same!! There is another Disney UA-camr I watch I was pretty disappointed when they tried to spring a positive light on it while literally doing nothing event specific except snacks and pictures.
Totally agree. When I hear and see a title that says something along the lines of yes you can have fun at jollywood nights, you know it's just not an honest review sorry
Dev, keep having the courage to tell the truth. That’s why I enjoy watching your channel. Everything can’t always be good, tasty, or comfortable. Others are trying to stay in Disney’s good graces by stretching the truth. You’re a good guy ! Continue to let your conscience be Your guide.
I was there last night and the wife and I had a good time. My only complaint about the event was that 4 hrs is not long enough. We were able to see both of the shows, did Rise of the Resistance, and got to ride Slinky Dog and Mickie and Minnie RR for rides. We were able to partake all the Holiday beverages as well. But that was about it. Didn't have time for the meet and greets or try to go to the Brown Derby. If they could expand the event for an additional 90 minutes (so 7 to 1230 vs the current 830 to 1230 with early entry at 6), I feel it can be an overall better experience.
I had the same experience! I will definitely do Jollywood again and hopefully next year they make it a couple of hours longer m. 😊
They should do cast members previews so they can better understand what they need to do
When you were trying to decide between Duffy or the Brown Derby I kept telling you Duffy from here lol. I feel he’s too rare to pass up. Also he was dressed so adorable 🥰

If more vloggers were honest like you then maybe Disney would get act together but as long as people keep sugar coating nothing will improve
The rise of these "separately ticketed" events gives me serious pause. Being able to charge twice on the same day of operations for dubious perks just seems uncomfortably greedy. I can understand for something as revolutionary as HHN, but these other events only seem to be incremental enhancements instead of completely different experiences.
These parks seem to be on the cusp of demanding a day AND evening pass instead of the traditional all-day pass, the latter of which is a necessity when crowds are overwhelming.
I saw on Twitter night 1 was a disaster. I feel so bad for people who paid good money for that chaos.
Man, your video made me so happy & relieved that Disney made some good changes. The opening day videos made me so bummed that I chose my annual siblings trip with my sister to go to this event, but this video turned my frown all the way upside down. Love your videos & I truly can’t tell you how much I appreciate this one more than others in the past. Rock on, Dev!
Watching this makes me glad we purchased more Orlando Informer tickets to Universal. 😢 I’ve wanted to take the kids to Disney but I can’t justify it right now (They have a blast at Universal) I’m always waiting for a video from an honest vlogger saying yes things are getting better. I don’t want my last Disney trip to be bad/disappointed memories.
Yes, the meetup tickets are expensive but you get so much more for your money with the unlimited food and drinks!

This would cost my family of four nearly $700 just for tickets, add food it would probably be closer to $800+, minimum. For 4 hours. I just could never justify that.

Whew. I’m glad you enjoyed the event. I definitely agree that with the price of the event they should include unlimited sodas, water and other snacks. Obviously alcohol should be priced. The extra hour would’ve definitely helped. Definitely a lot of room for improvement. Hopefully it gets better with the remaining nights
We were there the same night as you. You’re spot on that you can’t do it all in one night. We went for the items we wanted to do the most and really enjoyed our experience!
I switched my tickets out for a Hollywood studios regular day ticket. It was my 1st time there. And I’m so glad I made that change.

Dev, I don’t think it is as much watching you eat but seeing your reaction when you take a bite of food. Seeing someone’s reaction when they take a bite of food is huge

Watching your wrap up comments, it was like you read my mind on what I would have said after watching your video. It looks like it could be a great event with a little more theming. It also either needs a pricing adjustment downward or at least an extra hour for me to ever truly consider it.

As an aside….imagine knowing ahead of time how many tickets you’ve sold, and, in the vein of genie+ data collection, being able to adequately forecast how many cast and how many resources you need to have in place for a special event 😑 understandable that this is a _new_ event, but how many other events could someone with manager or exec or leader in their job title have extrapolated data from to make night one, and subsequent nights, the real smash shindig we all imagined this to be. Just sayin (and I’m still available for hire, Disney…)

It’s interesting to see a review of the second night when the 1st was very busy with media…. Lol. I think it’s worth it but good to know going into it what to expect and how to manage your time. The shows were amazing. I don’t wait in lines for food or drinks if there is more than 7 people in line anyway:)

We were there last night (Saturday). Fun time, short wait times, good entertainment (especially the DJ in front of the Chinese Theater), OK food options, drinks here a bit pricey for the cost, bars decor was weak. Would have been nice to get some free/included snacks for $150 each. Mobile order would be great too.

Hi! First time commentor🎉 We were there last night too! In fact we passed by you hurrying to somewhere 😀 My husband and I had a great time, but we certainly prepared and had a solid game plan. I agree with you on most points, I just think I enjoyed the Tip Top club more than you did. We had a very short line for drinks and I really liked the band🎉 However I agree that it needs more decor. I think Disney needs to be clear with their theming, it was a little slap dash. I would definitely go back if they continued to make this experience better and more focused. It has a ton of potential ❤ Btw, you are tall!

Thank you so much for doing this video!!! Our family is going to Jollywood Nights on Dec. 16th and I am hopeful that all the bugs will be worked out by then. It does definitely seem better then what it was opening night. I was so excited to see an event more geared towards adults and booked the tickets right away. I agree with you that there should be an hour added and there should be some snack items included like they have for Very Merry. We are all looking forward to going and hope it is a fun time!!!

Finally the Muppets make a live appearance again in the park!!!! You should of watched the nightmare show since it's a limited event
Since this is the second night, you really don’t need to show any extensive footage of the shows. More of your experience reacting/enjoying the event is better.

I was at jollywoods last night took pictures with Phineas and Ferb, Mary Poppins, Pinocchio, snow white and dopey. I think the event was so cool but they should have added an hour extra at least.

Thanks for the honest review. Would like to go but the price ( I think) is super expensive , you are right wish food and drinks ( non alcoholic) were included for the price. And for the price wish it could have run longer too.

I'm not going. I've been to HS at Christmas and it's beautiful but not paying that much extra for shows and things they could be giving to ticket holders. Like you said one cookie wouldn't hurt. Dang!!!

Wow! A lot better than the first night -- but that's not saying much.
And I still think 3-4 hours in Disney Springs would be much more memorable.
I wish Disney Springs had some sort of holiday show. A Christmas fountain show, or a Christmas drone show. But then again, why bother? -- because that area is going to remain packed every night until Jan 2nd! 😐

My husband and I were there too. We had a great time, but we definitely went in with a plan. Totally agree, we wished it was a little longer so we could have gotten to more of the meet & greets but overall we enjoyed it and will do it again.

After watching several other people's vids from night one and just heard about the extra characters. I still can't understand how didnt have Chewie in life day outfit with an orb and robe.
Thanks for filming so much of the shows. Jollywood Nights looks to be exactly what was advertised and I can’t wait to go. I love the classic Hollywood xmas theme, and they put a lot of effort into the shows, music, and speciality drinks. It is a way better fit for a date night than MVMCP, and I’m glad Disney created an event where we can dress up and have an adult evening without the kids.
