Ashhadu Annallaaha A'laa Kulli Shay-In Qadeer
I bear witness that, verily, Allah, has power over all things:
وَ اَنَّ اللهَ قَدْ اَحَاطَ بِکُلِّ شَیْءٍ عِلْمًا
Wa Annallaaha Qad Ah'aat'a Bikulli Shay-In Ilmaa
and, verily, Allah encompasses every thing in (His) knowledge,
اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَعُوْذُ بِکَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِیْ
Allaahumma Innee A-O'od'u Bika Min Sharri Nafsee
O my Allah, I seek refuge with You from the evil inside me
وَ مِنْ شَرِّ کُلِّ دَابَّۃٍ
Wa Min Sharri Kulli Daabbatin
and from the evil of every creature
َنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاسِیَتِہَا
ا Anta Aakhid'um Binaas'iyatihaa
whom You seizes with its forelock.
اِنَّ رَبِّ عَلٰی صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِیْمٍ.

• Sayyidunā Abū Talha radiallahu anhu reports that The Prophet of Allah salallahu ῾alayhi wasallam said, “Angels do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or an animate picture.” - Sahīh Bukhārī, hadīth no. 2986

سُلَيْمَـٰنُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُعَلِّمُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ ٱلسِّحْرَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَى ٱلْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَـٰرُوتَ وَمَـٰرُوتَ ۚ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَآ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌۭ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ ۖ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِۦ بَيْنَ ٱلْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِۦ ۚ وَمَا هُم بِضَآرِّينَ بِهِۦ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوا۟ لَمَنِ ٱشْتَرَىٰهُ مَا لَهُۥ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَـٰقٍۢ ۚ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْا۟ بِهِۦٓ أَنفُسَهُمْ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ ١٠٢
They ˹instead˺ followed the magic promoted by the devils during the reign of Solomon. Never did Solomon disbelieve, rather the devils disbelieved. They taught magic to the people, along with what had been revealed to the two angels, Hârût and Mârût, in Babylon.1 The two angels never taught anyone without saying, “We are only a test ˹for you˺, so do not abandon ˹your˺ faith.” Yet people learned ˹magic˺ that caused a rift ˹even˺ between husband and wife; although their magic could not harm anyone except by Allah’s Will. They learned what harmed them and did not benefit them-although they already knew that whoever buys into magic would have no share in the Hereafter. Miserable indeed was the price for which they sold their souls, if only they knew!

Say:
“O Allah, send blessing upon him.”
Note: The Evil Eye means to look at something and be impressed with it, causing harm to befall it.
This “looking” may or may not involve jealousy, and can occur unintentionally. A person could even inflict harm upon himself.
Note: Should be said as well if the thing liked or admired is about yourself.
