I purchased my first Wilson Combat 1911 in 2005 it's the CQB in .45. The Protector will be my first new weapon but I will have to wait awhile cash is in the black. As I have praised LAV before put any weapon in his hands and he is a Master shooter man!
Larry i wish I was like you because I tried a lot to be a weapons guru. I am currently working as a beach lifeguard. I even think of drawing your tatoo on my arm. You inspired me a lot bro.
It shocks me that people STILL complain about the prices of Wilson Combat and Nighthawk 1911s. They're expensive. They are ALL expensive. Deal with it.
Because it flares at the end, it gives a tighter lockup with the slide. Because of this, it can replace the barrel bushing. I'm not sure there is a way to determine which system is really more accurate. Purists won't like the bull barrel.
justinjacques766 a really good old dog, nonetheless. it just works. sure, there may be better options out there, but you just can't go wrong with a nice M1911.
justinjacques766 its my favorite handgun to shoot at the range but really sucks today for anything practical. i use to CC a full size 1911 but for the same size/weight of any 1911 you can get a cheaper and more reliable/durable gun
Not a fan of any 1911 with a barrel shorter than 4.25, or 9mm, or with a alloy receiver. But hey, whatever floats your boat. A CZ compact would be my go to if I wanted an all steel 9mm compact.
American_Psycho And that was the lowest I found, haha. I'm perfectly happy with my Sig and Glocks. Hmm, well, I wouldn't mind a Cz 75b. I find them to be gorgeous.
BurnThePope0514 Agreed for $2,200 you can have a SIG and a Glock and money to spare. Never really understood the point of these overpriced "custom" 1911s. To each their own I guess.
***** Yeah there are definitely a lot better budget friendly options out there. But paying $2,200 for a 1911 is just absurd to me. Sorry but that's just me.
I found em' for around 2,200, but I agree. Wilson charges far to much for their 1911's. I don't care what people say if it's not a collectible or antique I'm jot forking out more then 1,200 on a 1911
vlun121 .45 has more recoil, generally speaking. 9mm chambered firearms generally have less mass behind them, so if you load ++p's it will feel snappier than your standard .45.
vlun121 they both have very similar muzzle energy... if you were shooting these particular 1911s back to back 45 vs 9mm they'd probably feel just about the same. Maybe the 9mm will have a bit of a sharper recoil impulse where the .45 would be a bigger thump, but its negligible.
Are you kidding me 2200$ bucks uhh...fuck no I have a family and we live pay check to check, I'd be lucky to buy a small box of 9mm just to keep my mags fresh for home protection. Get the hell outta here Wilson.
Yeah... These are rich man's pistols. No way your average firearm owner will ever pick up one of these uber expensive machines. Custom 1911s have always been ridiculously costly. You really only give a tiny bit of performance over a high end production model and for the most part a 500-700 dollar 1911 will perform way better in the hands of a skilled shooter that decided to dump the other 2k on ammo than the guy who buys a 2.5k custom 1911 who rarely ever takes the gun out because the dang thing costs more than many beater cars.
I think the one guy disliking every video Larry V makes is an enemy he let live instead of finishing him off.
***** It was a joke man. And I was referring to his Delta Force days.
navyman8903 Wow, some people just don't get it.
JohnnyUtah71 You're not kidding. Hahahaha
Lol at the people complaining it's $2,200. Imagine how upset they'll be when they realize it's $4k.

Look at that steely glare. No blinking :).
hahaha
My favorite gun ever made by wilson combat
Great setup, I read that 9mm 1911's are finicky. But I am sure wilson combat addressed these issues. +1
It shocks me that people STILL complain about the prices of Wilson Combat and Nighthawk 1911s. They're expensive. They are ALL expensive. Deal with it.
It's like "Oh a Rolex Submariner is more than 5,000 Dollars. I'll stick to my Casios they tell me the time just as accurate!"
I wish i could justify one, they're awesome.
thanks lar
I love wilson combat everything
Come a Zombie Apocalypse, I think that I want Larry on my team....!!
Las ediciones que manejas son muy buenas, aprendo mucho de usted y su equipo
Hey Larry what jacket is that you've got?
I noticed you shot right handed, you always shoot rifles left handed though. Great video!
the 9 is a must
One of the best looking firearms I have seen, but for ~2400 bucks, I'd get a couple of CZ custom sidearms. Maybe when I hit the lotto...
how many rounds and what caliber?
I really need this pistol in my life.
Yo dawg do you know if you can start a carrier in the military the same way you did? Join as a 18x I mean
Were you in the military?
what does a bull barrel do?
Because it flares at the end, it gives a tighter lockup with the slide. Because of this, it can replace the barrel bushing. I'm not sure there is a way to determine which system is really more accurate. Purists won't like the bull barrel.
Those 9mm models are still single stack, correct?
***** This model is
Yes
Love it!!!
Una belleza
is it stainless steel
How much
I'll take one of each.
Sweet gun. Larry, I couldn't help noticing your watch during the video, looks very nice, what is it? Thanks
Probably a great pistol but for the price point you can keep that stuff.
Man, the M1911 is like that one old dog that refuses to be put to sleep
***** no shit
justinjacques766 a really good old dog, nonetheless. it just works. sure, there may be better options out there, but you just can't go wrong with a nice M1911.

I have found my next reason to save money!!

Available in 9 or 45 alloy or steel frame.
Would.t mind adding a quarter of an inch for a more proven design is all. If i wanted something smaller, it wouldn't be a 1911.
100% agree.
4K dollar gun on my hip? Nah.....not till I hit the lottery.
Sweet
They're nice but not $4k nice. Thanks for the videos anyway Larry! One day I may be able to buy a Magazine. LOL
Can Wilson make fucking economy gun that doesn't cost over $2000, good gref? The price is way to HIGH.
2,200 for a compact 9mm. No thanks.
BurnThePope0514 Jesus $2,200??? Yeah I'll stick with the Glock. Affordable and it works just fine.
American_Psycho And that was the lowest I found, haha. I'm perfectly happy with my Sig and Glocks. Hmm, well, I wouldn't mind a Cz 75b. I find them to be gorgeous.

+BurnThePope guess you never owned a business before
Almost $4,000 on the website. Sheesh. No Thanks.

A 9mm 1911 is a crime against humanity haha.
WeedSmokinRepublican dumb question where I've never shot a 9mm, which one has more recoil, 9mm or .45 acp?
vlun121 Darude Sandstorm

WeedSmokinRepublican Stroke that insecurity in your manhood a little more obviously why don't ya.
Interesting but I think a sig, glock, beretta may be more practical
Are you kidding me 2200$ bucks uhh...fuck no I have a family and we live pay check to check, I'd be lucky to buy a small box of 9mm just to keep my mags fresh for home protection. Get the hell outta here Wilson.
Lol nobody is making you buy it, you fuck.

+Kabloosh I just bought one and I'm 29. Not rich at all just gotta pay to play. Some people just like to bitch
I love wilson combat everything
