  • In this video I explain how to mount your Hackintosh EFI partition in Windows 10 or Windows 11, so that you can make changes to your config.plist, or add or remove kexts.

Excellent man. You may have saved my Ventura install after something went wrong with the update to Opencore 1. Couldn't boot, couldn't get my USB bootable installer to load either. This worked though and should let me revert back to my previous config and Opencore version that worked! Cheers!

Can't open the plist through explorer++ even though I'm running it as admin. It says I don't have the permission. Doesn't matter if I try to open it through note pad or OCAT within explirer++. I'm on win11 and the macOS version is sonoma if that matters. The drive is gen4 nvme. I can't even drag and drop it to the desktop. It says I lack the rights to do so. If I then click the box saying "get permanent access" and click continue it says that I have been denied the rights to use this folder and that I have to use "the tab security". And "security" is underlined so I can click it. That takes me to the regular view of the properties you get if you right click any drive. There's no tab called security though and no place you can claim the rights to access it because there are no security tab for the EFI partition like it is for regular windows drives. Sooo any solution please? Can't get into my hackintosh since I swapped CPU without editing the cpu-ID in the config.plist.
Soo I tried the same method but for the thumb drive containing the same config.plist but then you cannot assign a drive letter for the efi partition throgh windows for removable media. It only works for non removable drives. XD This time I tried it on my windows 10 laptop. So when once you've been locked out of your hackintosh and tried to adjust anything from within windows you're not doomed because there are no working options. So fucking stupid.

You need to run it as administrator. If you just run it as user you'll still have the permissions issue.
