- In this video AJ unpacks the new RC from Traxxas, the Maxx Slash. We always love seeing the new tech, and this should prove to be something we will run a lot. Coming in at just about the size of the Arrma Mojave 6s, the Maxx Slash is cool looking and built tough like it's smaller brother, the Maxx. Sporting new belted tires, and a clipless body system, this RC is impressive. Whether you love Traxxas or hate them, this RC is a thing of beauty. Come along as we have our first look at this new product.

Im sure this is going to be a fun/tough truck, but i dont see it being better than the Mojave 6S. The Mojave is (in my opinion) one of the top 10 modern RC's ever made. It's SCT basher perfection.
A nice, honest, functionalling and critical overview, the kind that bashers needs. Not another promotion from a Fanboy to appease Traxxas

The best part of this truck is the clipless body! And it better do a good job protecting it because it’s gonna spend a lot of time flipped over! It flies like a brick and rolls more than the Pillsberry doughboy!

We get it, you don't like it. Go play with whatever brand you like and have fun.
And even that, I rather deal with posts than with the body popping off pretty frequently.
I went to the RC Expo today and tried the Maxx Slash on the “Try Me Track” in the backfield of the event. With 6s, I think it’s too much to handle. I believe 4s is just the right blend. I am not impressed with the new truck, and I still prefer my Slash Ultimate. My RC collection right now includes the Traxxas Slash, Maxx V2, Rustler - Ultimate, 2 Promotos, and the 1/10 Baja Rey 2.0. The Maxx Slash won’t be on my list as it’s technically a Maxx.

not same esc as sledge but udr and revo yes (sledge as different programation like difference betwen first vxl8s and the 3.0) the amrs are juste the on's from the maxx v1 narrow :)

The servo mounts also wear out and the servo comes loose
Waiting to see a wide max kit on it. Monster truck tires. Cut the fenders. Also already seen a guy swap the maxx bulk heads

Would the shock extenders from the Maxx Slash also fit on the Maxx? They could be a cheap way to reduce the ol' Maxx rear chassis slap on every jump. Asking for Maxx v1 specifically 😁
It actually has the 2000 kv motor not the 2200 kv. As far as I know at least.
Save another $160 and you could get the new 1/5 redcat vigilante 8s for $860 . The slash maxx wouldnt be bad at $550 most . Nice video

The redcat is looking pretty good but it is not really comparable to the MaxxSlash. One is a "monster truck" and the other is a "short course truck". To really have fun just buy both!!
@@MagnifiedGiant it not being comparable is the point I'm trying to make . You get way more of a car for a little more money .

Regarding the suspension arms: they are the same ones that are on the maxx v1, so they should be plenty strong. No reason to be concerned!
I'm so amused with all the power button complaints on UA-cam. This is standard operating procedure for traxxas for 2-3 years now.
FYI the reason you have to unplug the ESC from the battery is for one simple reason.
So you can save your batteries. leaving the batteries plugged in after your done using it is what ruins your lipos!
Arrma trust us with an On/Off Switch……. 😂
I don't see the big deal. I always just unplug and remove the battery on any RC as it has to be removed anyways because it needs to be charged. With the easy to remove body it isn't much of an issue for me.
@@MagnifiedGiant Traxxas updated this esc sob you couldn’t turn them off. You have to unplug them. Leaving the batteries connected drains them faster then if you unplug them.

@@granddeath Like I said even on my RC with an off switch I usually just unplug the batteries and take them out and don't bother with the switch when I am done a run.

Put a hobbywing max g8 g2 motor and esc
