On the Voice, he stood up and without any warm up sang this with the son of the guy who wrote this song for him. He was as powerful then as he was back in 67. Sir Tom is a voice for eternity.
could not agree more, that's historic.
I saw that. It was awesome! Lonnie Donegan wrote this song and Peter, his son, sang it with Tom on The Voice UK. PHENOMENAL!!!!!!
Most magic moment I have ever heard on the voice UK he’s 80 and his voice just gets better
I didnt get to see that. Wish I could.
@@melissaward6311 you can watch it on here, check out Tom Jones and the voice fall in love again ....
As little kids we watched him in the 60s, now we’re in our 60s we appreciate what we grew up on, one of the best ever
That's SIR Tom Jones and he's earned it.
I totally agree one of the greatest male singers there will ever be.
Tom Jones is WITHOUT A DOUBT a great, great singer. If someone writes a list of great singers, it's not complete if Tom Jones is not on it.
I haz agree with you?!
r u CRAZY ? number-1 to 5 for sure'
Elvis was infatuated with Tom Elvis knew were he got his sole put tom wasn't from the getto and Tom told him he learned from listening to him
Control.
He’s still got it too, taken care of his voice amazingly well
Not only is his voice great, but the musical composition of this song is perfect.
This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE Tom Jones song. I perform it whenever I go out for karaoke 🎤night. There are 2 types of singers, a performer and an entertainer. Tom is an entertainer, as was Elvis. I was given a great compliment one night, after I sang this song, I was told I was an entertainer. That made me feel good.
He's 80 years old and he can still bring it
Yes he still can.
Was married before this song was released, and still is married to the same woman !
@@bruce7223 she died a few years ago I’m afraid.....
@@bruce7223 His wife passed away a couple of years ago. I believe they married when they were 16.
@@angelaregan475 And having a son at the same period of time
One of the most powerful voices in the recording industry ever.
At 80, his voice is still outstanding and he’s the venerable old coach on the U.K. series of The Voice.
One week he broke out with this song pairing with the son of the guy that wrote this song for him.
And yeah, the old guy still has some serious pipes....
No lip syncing! He belted that out live!! Incredible.
....and he still belts them out "live" on the English Version of the Voice. He still has that voice and the ability to sing perfectly....even with all the years that have passed since this.
Yeah a true legend.
no Autotune either
I'm 72. We were so blessed to have gone through these times. We didn't really know we were going through a magical time in history, ... but we were. Thanks for your review... we've got hundreds more, ... please enjoy. Tell them that Dennis sent you.
This is real singing. No autotune, pure talent. Not many voices that can compare with Sir Tom Jones. Hard to believe he’s over 80 now and still going strong. He has many more hit songs. Try Delilah. Thx
I believe Delilah was considered his theme song. Here's Sir Tom performing it at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert in 2016 for 1000s of people. ua-cam.com/video/zo2O5E9Ea9Y/v-deo.html They still love in there, and I do too.
He’s on THE VIICE UK and can sing like an Angel at 80
@DAVID FILER what is?
@@wajj1842
Or ‘It’s Not Unusual’.
Or “She’s a Lady”. 😃
as a tom jones fan for 50 years i love to watch the younger generation listen to a living legend
So glad the younger generations are discovering AND appreciating the older singing legends. He's amazing & his voice is still so strong at 80. One of the reasons I watch The Voice UK! The other is
I ❤ Will.i.am😄 so funny & wise. Good choice Shiloh!
Just an FYI -- Sir Tom Jones will be 81 on Monday, June 7.
Sir Tom Jones is a 100% living Legend 💞💞💞 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I love how each time he sings "I'll never fall in love again" the intensity increases until that gorgeous voice just soars. So incredibly beautiful.
This is one of the times when someone who says "It was better when I was younger" is absolutely right. Even now, when Sir Tom starts to sing on The Voice, the other judges pull out their phones and hit "record."
i’ve heard this song probably 1000 times. It still hits me in the feels. That was a live performance, his voice is one of a kind, amazing. There are so many other songs that he has that are worth listening to. Thank you for the reaction
Studio recording probably had more emotion, a real soul-grabber.
I can't stop listening to his song.
That was from 53 yrs ago, and if you hear him now, he still sounds exactly the same. He sings on some episodes of the voice with Jennifer Hudson. You can see some of the other judges videoing it on their own phones. You can also see ( by her reaction ) that Jennifer Hudson is honored to be singing a duet with him.
Not exactly, hes changed much, but he still got wht it takes.
Tom Jones is a Welsh Legend it was lovely to listen him singing again and credit to you for not stopping it during the performance like so many other channels. You have a new subscriber xxxxx🎤💖
Good for you young lady. Tom is a Welshman and the Welch are mighty singers. Like your videos. From an old guy who still finds hope in youth. 🙏
He was 25 when he did this lol 80 now and still has an incredible voice anyone would kill for! 💯
27, he was born 7th June 1940.
Thank you for not interrupting the performance.
This is something that should be enjoyed from start to finish.
A great performer from my youth.
A fellow Welshman.
No check out his other songs.
He’s 82 and still singing! He was Knighted by Queen Elizabeth so he is Sir Tom Jones!
His voice is timeless. Back in the 60s he was,and still wonderful. He draws you in.
No Auto tune, gimmicks, just raw TALENT. 80 years old and still dinging. On "The Voice" UK. Sings with Jennifer Hudson!!!
This is one of my all-time favourite Tom Jones numbers. This number always makes me cry. 😭😭😭😭
Tom is the real deal...
He was friends with Elvis and performed opposite times in Las Vegas. They would visit each others shows and surprise each other.
Tom is 80 plus years now and can still hit those notes. He sang with the man's son that wrote it. True testament that Tom is truly legendary.. Great reaction video. Thanks.
Exactly : no auto tune , no tricks , just real live honest to goodness GOD given TALENT ! ! !
That's what a true legend looks and sounds like
I love Sir Tom Jones!!!! The Best forever!💓💓💓💓💓💓👏👏👏👏👏👏!
This man has pure talent and fortunate for those in my age range, mid 70's, we were able to listen to songs like this day after day in the '60s What a great song by a great man.
He still has that effect on me when he sings live now - at 80yrs old. His voice still gives me goosebumps
Tom Jones is now 80 and still killin’ it! He is a judge on The Voice UK and sometimes performs a song spontaneously. He’s still got it!
Originator of "white soul"...probably the best pure singer of the 1960's. Loved him then, love the guy now as the judge on Britain's "the voice".
His voice is a force of nature.
Hearing TOM JONES who was knighted by the Queen of of England and sold 150 million records and seeing your beautiful face is a double treat!!!
There hasn't been a queen of England for hundreds of years
I think you mean Queen of the commonwealth including
* England/Scotland/Northern Ireland and WALES* Where Tom is from
Back in the day Tom Jones was the Welsh heartthrob. I saw him in Las Vegas and women were throwing their hotel room keys on stage. He was great. He would go to the edge of the stage and sing to women. These gals would look like they were going to pass out. Great fun.
I remember when this came out in 67.
Tom Jones can still sing like that, and he's in his eighties. LOLOL
Check him out on "The Voice".
Tom Jones is a Voice coach on The Voice in the UK! I just watched him sing sitting in one of the voice chairs, it did not look like he had any kind of special microphone or anything it said it was done three weeks ago!
@Trevor Rogert - I think he could fill a stadium with an unamplified voice, while his band had amplification. I feel that Chris Cornell could do that too.
Yes, great song! Amazing that this beautiful music was held in the midst of the civil rights movement.
He was sometimes called "The British Elvis" - and was good friends with The King. The ultimate entertainer - a great way of working the audience, and a voice to die for. He had women fainting in the aisles. What's more, he's now 80 and still going strong! "It's Not Unusual" would be the next one to hit of his.
Tom Jones' version of "The Green, Green Grass of Home" is outstanding...
You’re right! I’d forgotten about that one! 👍😍🥰
One of my favorites.
The unofficial Welsh national anthem.
Elvis loved it - they were best mates.
My all time favorite of his
Tom Jones is also a judge on The Voice UK. And he still can belt out the tunes.
Tom Jones was born on August 8th 1949 and died peacefully at home on March 20th 2020. RIP
@@roundrockrock no he didn't die
@@roundrockrock The Tom Jones singing was born June 7, 1940 & is still going strong.
Sr. Tom Jones is now 80 years old and still sings like that!!!
Tom never just mailed in a performance, till this day at 80!
He is still amazing at 80 years old! It was so great to be growing up in the 60's and 70's and to be able to hear this every day.
Greatest voice ever. Still sounds just as good today as he did back then. A true legend. Thanks for sharing
Best male voice ever! This performance still gives me goosebumps!
Tom Jones just brilliant, but what was so refreshing!!!! its the first reaction where someone as just listened all the way through without stopping 3,4,5 or even 6 times to make comments!! never make a decision about anything or anyone until you have heard the whole truthful story. Thank you Shiloh x
Tom Jones had all the women swooning then and those notes he could hit...Wow! Nice choice Shiloh. Loved your reaction when he hit those notes. 😊
I'm 57, my Mom will be 83 next month. She's always loved Tom Jones. I first heard this song 3 or 4 years ago. It blew me away! I sent her the video, and she said, "Oh yeah, I remember that beautiful song." She had a lot of his albums, and played them frequently. But hadn't ever heard this one. He still sounds great today, and he's in his 80's.
Tom Jones- without love..will sweep you off your feet :)
YES
I was young but...We had such beautiful men! Elvis, Tom, Oh My.
He crushes all his songs, even simple ones like ' danny boy'
this is the best reaction vid ive seen to sir tom you let the song play through its entirety and then you gave your view this is how all reaction vids should be x
Sir Tom Jones is a legend. He is from the valleys of South Wales, a former industrial region famous for their male voice choirs. It's said that Elvis was a huge fan and requested to meet him after first hearing him so you're in good company!!! He's a judge on The Voice UK and still sings to this day. He's a legend. Please do Green Green Grass of Home, I know you'll love it!!!
So glad you found him,in the UK he is known as , "The Voice" he is a national treasure😘
I heard so much Tom Jones growing up it was ridiculous. My Mom, my Grandmother, and my sister all loved him so his records (actual vinyl) was always playing it seemed. Three generations of women swooning over the same guy...now that’s talent. It didn’t hurt that he was a good-looking man also.
Yes it made me sick as well ! 😂
Guy`s pouring his heart out and you`re smilling all the way through :)
Every time I hear this song I think of my mom and get misty-eyed. She absolutely adored him. On one of our trips to Vegas - I took her to see his show. 90 minutes of a highly energetic, non-stop performance. She was mesmerized; best time ever for her (and me). She talked about it for years afterward. My mom passed away in June 2020 in the midst of COVID. Since she was in a rehab/convalescence home after a very bad fall and everybody was on lock-down....we didn't get to interact physically in the last year of her life - only virtually via very limited Skype sessions. About 2 weeks before her passing, in one of those sessions she asked if I still remembered the time we went to Vegas and saw Tom Jones. "Of course I do mom," I said. And she promptly busted out in this song. For real! My mom was 94 yrs old.
RIP mom ❤
Hi Shiloh, Once again you made an excellent choice!!! Tom Jones was The Man" back in the day and today in his early 80's he can still belt it out like it's nobody else's business!!! Please react to "She's A Lady," "Treat Her Right" and "Delilah" by Tom Jones...You'll be glad you did!!!
Also, check out him singing "Raise Your Hand" with Janis Joplin. It will get your heart pumping!
Billy Vera and the Beaters singing “what did you think I would do at this moment”. You’ll LOVE it!
Sir Tom is an absolute legend here in Wales. Dame Shirley Bassey is another Welsh legend. Makes me proud to be Welsh
Hir oes Cymru. There's a reason the Welsh are known across the planet as singers. 🏴
The first time I heard Dame Shirley Bassey was on the Sir Tom Jones show. Loved her as well.
So a guy went to the doctor and said: “Doc, I keep hearing the song What’s New Pussycat over and over again in my head. Is that normal?” The doctor replied: “It’s not unusual.”. Sorry, it’s the only Tom Jones songs joke I know.
My wife accused me of being unsympathetic and not listening, so I bought her a GI Joe coloring book.
Now she'll always have a soldier to crayon.
Dr. TJ ..my doctor told me he needed a stool sample, a urine sample, and a semen sample, so I left my underwear and went home!
@@davidbertram2021
Well you're a little more on topic than the last guy in response to me, but still not on topic for the video. We're looking for Tom Jones jokes. It would have been more topical if the underwear were women's panties because the women used to throw their panties on stage when Tom performed. Can you imagine having women want you that badly?
Dr. TJ ..yea, not so much inline with Sir Tom, more inline with Doctor humor. Just took the opportunity!
@@Dr.TJ1 I actually had that happen when I was stil performing.
this guy is over 80 years old but he can sing this song like in the 60's amazing,he is truly a national Treasure
This is my favorite song by Tom Jones as well as “Green Green Grass of Home”. Both greats of his 👏🏻💫🎤🥰‼️
🥰 GoOsEBUMPS😍😍 His voice is Velvet! Such Passion,, Such Pain ❣️❣️❣️
I was in my early teens when this song came out but didn't appreciate Tom Jones at the time. Now I think that he was a great entertainer and amazing singer. I hear that he still is. Watching this reaction shows that his greatness transcends generations.
Thanks for sharing… I still don’t understand how any age couldn’t appreciate his vocals though…
Rolling stones till the next time we say goodbye, the offical video
Bona fide Legend!! My number 1 go-to Solo singer, Tom Jones. My number 1 got-to Band, Queen. Whenever I feel like it which is a lot. Or if I need to cheer myself up.
These people are the best of the best. Easily among the VERY best of all time.
This guy has a way of making you go on an emotional roller coaster with that awesome voice of his.
Now you know why Tom Jones was or still is a heartthrob to many women back in his era. Oh yeah you can see on your face Shiloh, that huge smile on your face says it all, Thanks for the video, your the best
Shout out from the UK,
Great reaction to Tom Jones,
He's still going strong at the grand old age of 80, hes a coach on the voice uk ,and usuall gives us a sample of his great voice on the show, especially his duets with Jennifer Hudson 😀
He had his own variety show in the late 60's into the early 70's. Check out some of the great duets he did with some of stars of the day.
Sir Tom Jones has one of the greatest voices in popular music history. Nowadays, at 80 years old, he can still sing btw...
Been listening since the 60s .. it never gets old. Great reaction.
Can we get a poll on who wants to see Shiloh do the Carleton Dance to “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones!
This needs to happen!!!

I'd vote, yes. And this youtube reviewer. Could look great doing anything even if she was wearing a bin-bag. Lol
Come on now. I know what you are doing here.
@@Qpoueoor there’s really no bad intent. It’s a funny dance!

The name of that song contains a spoiler.
YES
This is what i call a singer... I miss so much this kind of music
As you really liked this song you'll tear up listening to The Green Green Grass of Home.
he is still going strong at 80 and his voice is so much better than any music from today nobody comes even close
His voice is a phenomenon
Believe it or not, he's *still* performing today! He _still_ has a great voice!
Tom Jones is still going. He's on The Voice in the UK. Still sings brilliantly.
He still has a phenomenal voice even now.. last year he sang this song live on TV for the Voice UK, and he still nails every note. Unreal talent.
Its beyond talent. Its gods voice. So beautiful and touching. I've dug Tom Jones since a kid in the 1960's. How could I not? Masterpiece
Believe it or not, Tom Jones can rip a thick telephone book in half with his bare hands! I saw him do it on TV once. He is a great singer, too! 😉👌
As I have stated on others sites; I think this is one of the best live performances ever.. ♠W.G.
Now you know why women threw their underwear at this man
I'm pretty sure that Mr. Jones opened the first used lingerie shop in Wales.
His moves helped with that phenomenon too...lol. A live performance of What's New Pussycat almost threw one reactor into shock...lol.
Because he kept fabric softener in his pockets ?
Fun fact: Tom said in an interview, back in the days, that he put a sock in his underpants, so as to create a bulge that fitted his onstage persona.
was thinking the same thing. lol
just magic , incredible voice , and he is still singing . a truly talented artist.
Glad you liked him. Try listening to Shirley Bassey sing Goldfinger.
Our Sir Tom is Still going strong & Has a New Album coming out in April👍Nice to see a young Lady like you loving Sir Toms Powerfull Voice & this is such a Great Song.Take care & stay safe🙏 love from the UK❤
What a beautiful young woman!! Great choice. Tom Jones is a legend. So glad to see you connect with the maestro..
Hello, Shiloh, Tom Jones is on The Voice UK. Last year he had the son of the gentleman that wrote it on the show. They did that song together. Very very good.
Back in the day (like, when I was 16, and when this video was recorded!) it was really easy to dismiss Jones as a lounge act. It took me years to fully appreciate his voice.....songs such as this one show us that in addition to his excellent work on "ordinary" songs, he was capable of deeply interpretive performances that show just how good he was.
Wow this is the real golden powerful voice. It seems that his voice range has no limits.
tom jones still has that golden soulful voice at 80 years old
That's how the true legends do it.
That's how among the very best of all times do it.
Yep, that how people use to sing when I was growing up! My mom liked Tom Jones.
